How about we get a closer look at the dial and see what it does before we go pressing stuff. Also have a look at anything interesting in the room.

Yeah it is, unless there's only a bunch of idiots playing.

You don't say HEY GO PRESS THAT GRAY BLOB IN THE CORNER IT MIGHT BE A BUTTON THAT TURNS SOMETHING ON.

You say take a closer look at that, and if it looks like a power dial going to the wires you connected, turn it up by increments of one line and watch results.

Turn dial to hazardous, and then immediately smack it with your wrench. The barrel WILL have built up an EXTREMELY large static charge by now and upon hitting it with your wrench you would gain mutant fish powers, namely the ability to breath oxygen, and the ability to...uh..fly. You would also find out exactly whats going on. You know all this will happen because of your amazing Engineering skills.


But really, let's turn it to Imageing, its the safest thing to do right now.
