hey all :3
I have not been really on this in some time, the whole work thing taking over my life . Been trying to do that mod thing when I get a shot thinking about makeing a Vietnam War mod or a Civil War mod. But in this one post I am not really going on about a mod (just my plans :3 ) but more in asking how many people really buy this game so far? I seen many good games die because the maker lost there real job, or they just don't care about the game any more. Well I don't like to see this game end that way. I dont know I just venting but I know when I come home form work I play CC to vent and cool down. riven ps: I will do someing in the mod thing too at some point

Lots of people have bought the game. Me included. Your mod will be appreciated, if it is good.

A surprising number of people have bought the game; certainly more than one would really expect.
And, in response to "I seen many good games die because the maker lost there real job", Data doesn't HAVE a "real" job. He quit his day job several months ago; CC is a fulltime project.

Re: hey all :3
I was like, third to buy it or something. And now considering the support version.
A good deal of the community has bought the game. And doing so even while at this point skirmish limit is the only incentive to buy it. That shows that we either really want to support data, or we're investing in buying early, for when the price goes up.
But out of curiosity, I also wouldn't mind knowing a numeral sales statistic.

Data quit his job? Can he really keep himself alive with the game for now?

Re: hey all :3
I brought the "Supprot Data Realms" edition a month or so ago, so impressed was I by cortex command, it only took fifteen minutes of playing the demo to go online and buy the real thing, the support version was jus sort of an impulse at the time, since I thought it was such a neat idea, and if I thought it might contribute to the game getting done a little earlier and inflating Data's ego, it was worth the AU$50, then all the better.
I've also been reading these forums on and off for a while, though this is my first post (you might also remember me fro my one or two sporadic visits to theIRC).
Either way, CC is totally mind-blowingly awesome to me, the possibilities of this game physically cause me to quake in my slippers - I also managed to get my freind to buy the normal version, yay.

Good, then learn how to install mods, and wait until the next build, because you get to use LUA, only for custom AI-Modes and add special events to scenes!

Re: hey all :3
Seeing as Data used to work for NASA, I think he has a fairly sizable nest egg stored up.
