Dx 10-9?
Hey. I recently got myself a Metaboli account. Found Fable: Lost Chapters and wanted to play it (I was gonna buy it but didnt bother when I found it on Metaboli)
Downloaded it and tried to play it, but each time I tried it said 'Fable.exe has stopped working' etc. Tried it 4 times, still didnt work. I looked on the requirements page and it said 'OS: 2000/XP, Vista compatible (Metaboli tested)' then under that 'Dx version: 9.0'
Me having Vista (I would have sticked with XP, we bought a new PC, coulndnt get one with XP)
Im wondering if its the Dx version, cause Vista automatically starts with V Dx 10. Is there any way I can get Dx 9 back so I can try and see if it runs with Dx 9?
If anyone knows how, tell me please. I wanna play lol.

Re: Dx 10-9?
Vista has DX10 installed, but doesn't actually use it unless you have a DX10 video card. It depends on what video card that you have on what DirectX version that you're using.
Also, all DriectX versions are compatible with the previous versions, so even if you did have DX10, it can still run all DX<10 stuff.

Re: Dx 10-9?
Yeah I knew it was compatible, just heard sometimes buggy. Turned out by updating Direct X it worked.
