could you use a gif animation as a background

can't make gifs
EDIT:nope doesn't work, took your gif, renamed as back.bmp, loaded,crashes when i start a skirmish battle, does not work.

It's not possible anyways, CC only loads .bmps.

No, it doesn't. Having a bmp with animation is utterly impossible. Renaming the file does absolutely nothing.

What you have is Back.bmp.gif. Windows Explorer just isn't showing you the file type. Believe me, if it's animated, it's still a GIF, and if it is actually a bitmap file, it's not animated.

it's simple. go to the area where you kept a gif.
go to tools then folder options. click view tab.
uncheck "hide extentions for known file types"

Then go to [instert name here].gif
rename to [name].bmp

then you have a bmp animation

It doesn't work, topic question answered.

And if it did work, it would probably be through numbered .bmps and a frame count variable under the sprite like other CC animations.
