I don't see much flaming going on around here. I think we should have a vote on a marketplace system perhaps we can buy signature space and avatar space something like this.

1000 pts 500x100 Signature
500 pts 250x50 Signature
500 pts 100 x 100 Avatar
250pts 50 x 50 Avatar
Free 30 x 30 Avatar
Free 50 x 50 Signature

Or something similar to that how points are earned though I have no idea.

I still think that we should improve the warning system already in place. If you flame or break a rule then you get a warning. If the problem persists then you get a 1 day, then 2 day, then 3 day, then a permanent ban. Regular members could help out the mods and admins by reporting posts that contain one or more of the following:

Spamming
Flaming
Rule breaking of any kind

Wow, we do NOT need any more fucking mods/admins. We have plenty already. That suggestion is completely retarded. The forum is fine. The best thing you can do to improve the forum is nothing at all, because there isn't anything that needs to be changed.

Users on the other hand need to know how to not respond to flames, and just report them. As iwcy said flame+flame = bigger fire.

Also lol cunt gets filtered to ladylike.

Or how about not because we don't have a lot of active users and the amount of mods vs active regulars is fine. The ratio shouldn't be 30:1.

And because I doubt the opposition even knows what a ratio is, 30:1 means 30 mods for every 1 user.

Have a "Black Hole" section where every shitty or old locked topic go, to avoid topic overload.
Maybe do this:

The topic is locked. Depending the reason, the topic:
1º: can stay on the section/forum
2º: stay for some time, and then go to the black hole
OR
3º: be locked and redirected to blackhole

I don't know if topic overload is a problem for everyone but that bother me alot sometimes...

It's called the "Junk" section. Regular users can't see it.

There also should be an "Epic Thread" section for things like the canyon crash series, and the Mushrooshi thing, just the threads that needed to be moved but are important enough to let us see. :D

The rating system would be complained about.

No. Things like the Mushrooshi incident hold no "importance" and should just be left to die. As for Canyon Crash, it doesn't really need to be showcased. People here know what it is, and they'll either pass it on to new members, or something new will come along and be just as good.

Also, The Black Line: no. People hold post count in too much importance as it is. Add a marketplace system and some members' egos might explode.

Do the original CaCr threads still exist?

Nobody ever uses the report button.

Except me.

Edit:

Suggestions:

Make Report button 500x bigger.
Restrict signatures to 2-3 lines max, including pictures(If allowed at all).
Allow topic starters more control over their topic. Not over posts, but like, let them lock/delete/change the topic.
Allow posts to be rated. Badly rated posts will be hidden. Higher rated posts might get a lighter background to highlight intelligence.
Ban stupid people. Ban them all. Straight to hell.

Also, stop telling new people they're stupid because they don't know about modding.

Post Re: How to make this forum better
how about some kind of system where people are given 'patrol' status where there not particulary a mod eg. cant delete or edit posts but make sure that topics are kept on track and have some kind of semi-lock topic?? power meaning the topic is locked untill a mod comes and either perma locks or unlocks. they could also have somekind of banning power, such as banning from topic or 3 hour ban or something along those lines.
abit like a nanny really....
