SEE?! this is the BS that Im talking about. The conversation between Grif and I didn't even involve Mr.X!

This is a personal attack on me and I think Mr. X Should be the first one to "test" the Warning system

But I already am on warning level 3...

Actually all of those were for necros, shouldn't they be removed now?

The first thing you can do to clean up spam is to deal with the spammers who report mods for doing their job well. What do I mean? Pyro and THOR. From what I saw from them...They did a good job and didn't let the rules slip. Some people might disagree with me, but the people who don't say "lol" and add their name on the end of their posts in every single topic usually don't. What you can do to make sure that this is enforced is reading the person's message, read the mod's activity briefly in one post for every topic since seven days earlier or merely skim every post within the seven days behind. People often say "Pyro sucked, I hate him." yet they can never explain what they mean when I've seen them say this. It's idiotic, really. All you people are doing is replicating the common feud with your next-door neighbor about how his dog laid his waste on your lawn. Common sense people, just because drugs are fun, doesn't mean they're good. Same way with acting out of control.

Post Re: Future of the Forums
Many flame wars are started when people direct there post towards one other member. The member "obviously insulted" responds the only way he/she knows how. By flaming back. I think we ALL should think before we post. Ask yourself some questions before hitting submit like:

1: would I be offended if someone did this to me?
2: Is this something that would get me in trouble?

Take other peoples feelings into consideration before posting and we can all get along much better.

I like how you BLATENTLY flame in a thread that is to do with putting an end to it, nice job, you have a right to exercise your opinions but just stop it.

edit: this is a reminder for everybody, don't flame, especially in THIS thread.

I thought THOR was good, but Pyro flamed too much for my liking.

Fixed.

Now like someone said, we do got a warning system, Yet theres no way to remove warnings. I am going to be making a script were i can do such. once i find it in the database that counts it. And il be removing all warnings so we can start anew.

Theres no auto warning banning by default but iv seen a few add-ons to phpbb3 that allow that. So il look into that deeper.

Post Re: Future of the Forums
Brbmartyr.

Trevor, look.

You are not a good admin for this board.

Personally, I don't think you'd make a good forum administrator anywhere, but especially not for this forum.

You don't PLAY Cortex Command. How can you possibly even claim to care about the community when you don't play the game that is the reason the community exists?

You don't actively read the forums. I know that for a fact. Mainly because I have been actively trolling for weeks now and you haven't said a word. I haven't even recieved a third warning.

As an administrator, you are meant to be an honorable, upstanding citizen who embodies a GOOD poster.

General requirement of a good poster: Not typing out their messages like a three year old with downs.

Three days ago I sent an email to Daniel Tabar outlining my reasons for wanting you removed from an administrator position.

I'll post that here, as it is far more eloquent than I am currently feeling.

Code:
Dear Daniel Tabar,
Hello. I've only sent you two private messages before, but I have unfortunately been put in a position where I have only one position I can reach, and only one figure I can reach out to. That being you. I hate to drag forum drama into your life, especially so close to the imminent release of your truly magnificent game. No, seriously, your game is the best I've ever played. Bar none. There is no other game that has even come close to making me this dedicated to a cause. I mean, I've spent over half a YEAR on your forums, learning the ropes of coding, gradually earning respect, and attempting to make a name for myself. I can say in all modesty that I have at least succeeded in that.
Now, when I first joined, the forums were in an entirely different state from where they are now. The userbase was much smaller, there were only about three moderators, and everyone knew everyone by name. It was literally a small town. Way back in this time, I met a user named Shogoll, and we became acquainted. Unfortunately, his ideals and WizardJames clashed, specifically on the subject of another user, Empyreal, resulting in a minor crisis you may remember. This was my first experience with the wrath of James, or Trevor, if you prefer his real name (his association with you has never really been explained).
I did not care to repeat the experience, yet, some months later, I was once again a pseudo-participant in the reign of THOR, who, I can say in all honesty, was the best thing to ever happen to this forum. ProjektTHOR, or Eric, took a community of a few hundred people, and got ninety-five percent of them to coexist happily. No one had a problem with Eric, as long as Eric did not have a problem with them. And Eric was not one to rush to judgement. Indeed, he is a significantly calmer individual than I am. In a moment of personal weakness, Eric saved me from a permanent banning, and I am grateful to him for it.
The only users who had a consistent problem with Eric were those who were unsatisfactory users. There's no bones about it. If you were a consistently contributive user, not only was THOR less likely to punish you; he was likely to reward you.
And then you removed all his powers based on the complaints of the same mediocre users. I do not want to piss you off here; getting banned from the forums for all eternity is not the ultimate goal of this letter, though if it is a consequence of it, then so be it. You took away the powers of the single greatest authority figure that Data Realms Fan Forums have ever had.
Then Pyrorex, or Tucker, gets modded, a few weeks later. And he also gets demodded, though this time by WizardJames. Pyrorex was like ProjektTHOR, except less inflammatory. Oh, and WizardJames also banned Pyrorex for some kind of unknown, inexplicable reason. He still hasn't been unbanned, and it's been several weeks.
For once, in my entire forum history, I have decided to take a stand. I am going to actively participate in this debate. I am not going to shirk down into meek obscurity in the face of yourself and James. I do not have any army behind me, nor am I the spearhead of any organized resistance. I write this letter to express my hope that you will see reason and remove James from power.
And, yes, while I did once earlier write out a petition to get Empyreal removed from administrator powers, I was at that point writing for other people, and had no actual active part to play in the drama. This time, that has changed. Pyrorex and ProjektTHOR are both friends of mine. Know who else is? Daman3456. Guess what just happened to him? He got banned by James for using the Memoserv IRC service to message him "ohay james". No, seriously. And then James unbans Daman, only to reban him WITHOUT EVEN BOTHERING TO GIVE A REASON, literally one minute later.
This information is all factual. You can see the relevant bans in the Moderation Logs. I have access to them as a mod of the Debate forum, a janitorial position at best. I do not wish to complain, but, honestly, all I do in there is approve posts. Except that all the other mods can and do my job for me. I approve about three posts a day on average. However, a unique benefit of my moderation of the forum is access to the forum-wide moderation logs, and the insanity that is James' bannings contained therein.
I do not even wish to mention the lack of quality in the IRC, but, for a comprehensive letter, I must. Earlier today (27th Nov), Wizard randomly opped another member of the SynIRC help staff. This member preceded to ban literally everyone in the channel. For disagreeing with his opinions. In fact, the entire network of SynIRC is literally backwater. It is prone to netsplits, in which a server fails and disconnects all users connected through it. Just today, one hub failed twice. SynIRC is an offshoot of ZiRC, made by members of the staff who "left for their own reasons". Meaning, as I read it, that they got kicked out and attempted to spite ZiRC administration. Wizard never bothered to explain, say, why he is associated with these admins, versus, say, the actually sane people at ZiRC, but it is not beyond reason to assume that he was either a part of the seperatist sect or directly associated with them.
Alas, I have found myself rambling once again, and I have not actually covered my primary purpose in this letter thoroughly.
WizardJames is the least professional administrator I have ever seen. He does not involve himself in the game that is the purpose of the forum, he does not actively moderate or even READ the forum, and what few posts he make are both horribly formatted and generally just introduce more asinine rules.
I do not mean to attack him personally; that is unprofessional and unbecoming of this letter. However, is it honestly that out there to expect the ADMINISTRATOR OF THE FORUM to punctuate, capitalize, and use proper grammar? As far as the introduction of asinine rules goes, James is the king of them all. From privatizing signatures, putting himself firmly on the fence, rather than totally for them or totally against them, James proves his ability to stand firm on any issue.
Now, when administrating a forum, which I actually do have some experience with, one of the key things to do is broadcast an image of authority. James does not do this. At all. His posts are weak, and generally serve no purpose. Indeed, some users are probably more scared of me, a lowly debate mod without any forumwide authority, than him, the godly administrator.
James only acts on the forum whatsoever when people complain, and in such cases he acts precipitously and without properly examining the issue.
James is not fit to be an administrator, at least not of a forum this large, and certainly not of a forum for which he has no passion. How motivated can a man be if he never actually plays the game involved?
I am going to conclude this letter with two reassurances: First, that I have no allusions as to my ability to administrate a forum this size. I am not the right user to govern this forum, at all. Do not even think of adminning me. Though I doubt you were anyways. And, second, that I did this letter as a charity. Certain more revolutionary members were planning on boycotting the commercial release as a means of forcing you to remove James. I did not wish for the situation to advance to this point; seven years of work more than qualifies you for my money. I still have every intention of paying you whatever price you charge for the commercial version.
   Sincerely,
Paul Thomas Griffith, otherwise known as Grif

EDIT: Also, lol.
Case in point of him being a bad admin:
Note that this is AFTER I ripped TD a new ♥♥♥hole in Mod Making
