alright, as some of you know, the I.H.P is a new company. Well this will be our first released mod. this isn't really my first mod, I have made lots of others, but just havn't released them. I have 80% of the pack at it's complete state and hope to release it around the same time as the game is released (should be at the end of the month). here are a few pics.

Rocket Resprites: Yes, I'm not good with rocket coding.

Actor resprites: The data clone and most of the others are not resprites, but one or two of them are.

Explosive resprites: HECK NO! the regular grenade in the game isn't worth squat! I actually made some decent bombs, just not huge explosions.

over half my mods aren't resprites.

the rocket isn't even a good re-sprite, thats more of a re-color, you took the normal rocket, and just added some lines and new shading. other than that its identical to the other.

the robot looks like you used the box/fill tools in paint for 5 minuts to get it out of the way.

serious sam is a blue clone recolor, with solid collor hair.

the teddy bear... same as the robot.

the only one that looks right, is data, which is just a re-collored blue clone.

any changes to the code, wont make much differance, they'd either be way fast, way strong, or indestructable.

Sadly, I have to agree with grif. just... wtf... more re-sprites, and uber crap.

well you're wrong yet you're right. Serious sam isn't ment to look anywhere near a blue clone and I had every actor start from a green clone. his hair looks a little like the blue clone, but I didn't get it from him and it is a little diffrent. and the Faster, stronger, and indestructable thing changes gameplay a lot at time. this one guy released 5 actors who just had minor tweaks with speed and health and they were considered good mods by many people. I'm working with codes a little so that's a lot of whats not done. as for The rocket sprite, I was even lazier than you think I was. I got it from the sprite dump and just filled in some missing peices and that was all. The robot is really in my avatar so look at him from there and tell me what you think. the data clone is of course a resprite, but he has one of the better codes. I don't think I have any uber weapons and I'm not the type that likes uber weapons either. the teddy bear mod is complete crap but I keep getting the feeling someone will like it. I also started the teddy from scratch as far as the head went. Overall if it was just the sneakpeak alone, I bet some people would get it, but I'm releasing more than that. I have more than just actors and a rocket. :)

edit: I got an idea for the rocket, and if I get the right stuff, I can make the rocket look a lot cooler. :cool:

edit 2: I got my hands on the right stuff and I got the rocket to look a hell of a lot nicer than your average rocket. the sprites look the same, but when you fly it, you'll know the diffrence.

So from what I gather we'll be seeing another invincible and unbalanced actor and from the way things are going, a rocket that will fly incredibly fast? Also I don't consider unstoppable actors or destroy-everything weapons good mods. Please if this is going to be your first mod give the Mod Making forum a test-download of it so we can tell you what to change before you end up just releasing it in the Mods section and potentially get flamed/bashed. I'm don't want to sound like I hate you or anything, because I don't, I'm just trying to spare you from the fate that SO MANY "first modders" recieve from us here at DR.

Additionally one thing I highly suggest you do, is work in cooperation with experienced modders, maybe even get them to do some things for you (spriting being the bane of many first mods). Again I may be coming off as harsh (which I try not to be) but in my honest opinion there are so many mods in these forums that look and play like child made them: ugly and unbalanced. Please don't fall victim to "first mod" syndrome, please.

don't worry, you don't sound harsh at all. :) I don't have much weapons in the pack, and the one or two I do have are balanced. Like I've said earlier, this isn't my first mod, but my first released mod. my first mod was my signature character, who turned out great. You're right, I need spriting help. I'm making a gun for the data clone by popular demand, but so far my sptite is sh**. the only ugly actor would be the teddy bear, and some people might hate zurf, but I think he turned out well. the rocket controlls are no diffrent (or at least it shouldn't be) but it's thrusters are really nice due to my recent improvement.

thanks for some of the tips. I'll post my gun I need help with soon along with a trial. :)

*Sigh* did you read my recent posts here? that will tell you that lots of these aren't resprites. I don't understand why people think they're resprites from the pics. you have to use them to tell if they are resprites or not.

That gun is terrible. Just terrible. It looks like a ♥♥♥♥ that fires shotgun rounds.

lol, I know. like I said, I need help. the only rules I have for when spriting that gun is that it stays mostly red. as for coding, I want it to stay as some sort of shotgun. other than that, do what you wnat with it and you will recieve credit unless it's worst than it is now. make it balanced as well, no super shotguns that rip holes through 5 walls in one shot.

good luck to anyone that tries to fix that damn thing.
