I haven't once said Half-Life 2 isn't a great game (it's probably one of the best), I'm simply stating why I prefer Halo 3 and defending it from the Half-Life and PC fanboys.

And Venn, if you'd actually played it for a decent amount of time, you would see that Halo 3 needs strategy in order for success.

Thing is, it's not necessarily being a fanboy to call Halo 3 utter ♥♥♥♥.
A little extreme, yes. But not necessarily outrageous retardation.

Because Halo 3 is Halo 1. Except shorter, mildly less repetitive, and prettier.

Versus Half Life 2, which is both original, engaging, pretty, and in general severely better than Halo 3.

I second Grif, Halo 3 brought one new thing to the table, which gets boring after half an hour.

Forge = Hammer, except far more limited. Anyway, HL2 is good for the character development, H3 is good for a run and gun don't wanna think just shoot game.

Uh Halo 3 for multiplayer.

Because I am pretty sure HL2 doesn't come with DM you have to buy it.

If we are talking about HL2 and all of the things for it Gmod HL2:DM and the episodes then I change my vote to HL2. But for Core Game Halo 3 Wins.

We already went over this, DM comes bundled with HL2.

Honestly, I love both. I love HL2 mainly for the great single player experience that I've always wanted. But I also love Halo3 because I love going over to my obnoxious kegger party friend's houses and having one hell of a swear-fest while blowing each other to bits. Also, no I will never play Halo3 online. I enjoy being able to hurt my friends when they scream "STUCK!" in my face.

I don't love any one more than the other.

Hey dumbasses, you can't just say "lol no mods don't count" because halo 3 doesn't have any good mods(Why would anyone want to mod that blocky piece of ♥♥♥♥ seriously the game looks like it's made from legos in 1 2 and 3, maybe a little less in 3 though). Half life 2 does, and mods do count motherfu­cker, as they're modifications of the gameplay, so they're still the same game. Because of this and half life 2's multiplayer mods which fu­ck halo 3's multiplayer in the ass, I believe it's superior.

Oh and guess what? Garry's mod counts because it's a mod of hl2! Ha!

So does Empires 2.0, Zombie master, Antlion Troopers, SMOD, SMOD: Tactical, SMOD: Redux, That awesome bug mod that nobody plays even though it's like an entire new game but still a mod, and some other stuff.

Oh and can't forget Dystopia, which has multiplayer > Halo 3's.

So you mean gameplay fixing is modding? If that so, halo3 is modded too...
