No links, I'm much too lazy at the moment to do that.

Spybot Search and Destroy.
Adaware SE

That's all I know so far as free goes.

If you want to totally uber 1337 hax pwn them get the trial of BitDefender Total Security 2008. Uninstall it after though because its a resource hog. (Or just disable it in msconfig) Seriously it pwns all viruses/Trojans if you have a Trojan its likely that you have a virus along with it.

Actually, the only Anti-Vi currently better than AVG is a Russian anti-vi, of course. And I don't know Russian, and I doubt anyone here knows. So, avast, AVG!

BitDefender pwns AVG ... Then again I could be wrong im going by an online review thing which could be biased. AVG is good too and should get rid of most problems but if you still have some try BitDefender

AVG is updated constantly updated to cover any new virii put out by those devious programmers. It also covers the widest range.

Protip: Virus scanners that noticably consume CPU resource are inherently virii themselves.

Viruses: Either slow down your computer, send private information to a website, cause permanent damage to your computer, or any combination of the above.

Therefore something that slows down your computer noticeably (key word there) is technically a virus; willingly downloaded or not.

Games like crysis slow your CPU, does that make them viruses?

Windows idle process slows the CPU, that a virus too?

Wow way to miss the point entirely.

BitDefender is meant to be a virus SCANNER.

It behaves the same way a VIRUS does.

See the IRONY?

Christ this was a waste of six posts.
