What the heck is this relevant to? Using that argument, noobs could necro topics from the start of the universe because they are "relevant" to their interests.

Eh, so I wasn't 100% in my own mind when I necro'd this, I necro'd it because lots of people have joined since this died, and I want to gather more data on RAM.

Hey look a topic where Venn responds to EVERY SINGLE ♥♥♥♥ POST.

Seriously, how can you claim to not post count ladylike when at least half of the posts in this topic are your own?

Anyways 1.99 ghz, 1gb RAM, ATI Radeon XPress 200 GFX card, and a 60gb hard drive, which is more than I need.

Seriously, I once crammed Windows XP, Ubuntu, various music files and several full, commercial games into a 20 gig partition.

People with larger hard drives are gay.

756 MB of RAM, and an 80g HD.

I have about 3 and a half gigs of memory left, due to this being a family computer.

Argh. I need to update my processor, it's a 1.6 dual core, although somehow it plays Crysis on high settings, so until I have problems with that (at least 30 frames at all times, too!) I guess I won't fork over.

Just because you have Linux doesn't make you knowledgable/cool/etc. If you can use your computer entirely without the GUI, you approach knowledgable. Stop whoring the fact that you use Linux. We're real proud of you being able to get James to install an OS for you.

896.

It works for everything I use it for, but I wouldn't mind getting a new computer before too long.

I've got way more hard drive space than I need though, 270 GB.

Hey, Linux is awesome. And you have to admit, using it at an above average level (i.e. not some computer-illiterate person who thinks their operating system is called "Microsoft Word") takes some leg work, and when you get that problem you've been working on ironed out, you feel really good about yourself, even if all you really did was a bunch of Googling and fiddling with .conf files.

For example, I can now play WoW on my Ubuntu install. That's freakin' awesome. (No it wasn't that hard, yes I had help, yes it still makes me feel cool (despite that its actually incredibly lame).)
