The Great GIF Conversion Project.
Okay, all you GIF makers, I think it's time that either the home page gets new GIF's or that we covert 'em to the newer build. The GIF's aren't actually showing the game anymore. I can't make GIF's, so it'll be up to you to do it. Then... we send 'em to Data, I guess.

Nice idea, now the problem is to replicate the first gif on the frontpage.
We should wait until the commercial version, to show any graphical change in it, if any.

No one here knows when thats going to happen
The homepage in general needs to look less crappy. Devlog should be incorporated into main. Data is obviously not good at webdesign.

Data obviously is perfectly fine at webdesign however doesn't need much propaganda for a test build and will likely fork over the bucks to somebody to get that fixed when he's ready to put something flashier up Although, I agree, as a general pat on the back on Data, we should try to set something nice up for him. I say there should be some form of interactive flash, whether that be rollover or pokeable clone.

A great battle (not a vid, a still), where everyone is shooting everybody. Then you could move the cam around. But who would be up to such a massive project? Offtopic: TLB, your avatar gets better every time you change it.

Or he could just ask one of the members of his fine upstanding community to do the work in exchange for a commercial key?

Re: The Great GIF Conversion Project.
God, I hope so. But... for that, it'd have to be something a little bigger than GIF's.

Re: The Great GIF Conversion Project.
Actually, I agree, THOR. I was thinking, though, we should do something free for his hard work, it's not like 30 bucks is much of a debt to pay Good idea with the still scrolly image, though. The scrolly I could probably do, but how would we... Wait. I have a big monitor... Bweheheh. EDIT: Okay, somehow, 1280 x 1024 mode doesn't want to work for me, I'm getting the "Unsupported color mode" error. Any idea how to fix this? EDIT EDIT: Here's a small gallery of pics I took in high-res, I like 006 the best. They still need cropping, of course.

We don't need a flashy front page, because most of the meat is on the forums and dev log anyway.

Re: The Great GIF Conversion Project.
i like the current front page, too. it's a good way to get people interested in the game. there's those epic GIF's, with no distractions except for a nice, big download button. i mean, epic GIF's are pretty much the best way to draw in customers for this game. just look at all the people who wander in from /gif/ or /b/ besides, any repeat visitors could easily bookmark the devlog or forums instead of the main page

Mash 'em togethar

Re: The Great GIF Conversion Project.
There have been topics in the past about hi-res cc (I should know, I started two of them).
Basically, you go into settings.ini and change the X and Y resolution settings to whatever you want them to be, then go to the background image files and resize them so that they're the correct size.
It worked 3 builds ago, so I assume it's still the same deal.
