Offhand guns.
Since build 15 offhand weapons won't work, I'm fairly certain this is due to shields being changed to "HeldDevice" rather than "HeldDeviceType = 2", anyone know how to fix them?
Please tell me you don't have to rewrite them...

I think they don't use that anymore. I think you have to put them as "Subgroup(?) = Pistols/SMG/Shield" and also have the offhand = 2 thing... I'm not sure and I don't think I made sense.

I don't think it's practically possible anymore.
Adding in the AddToGroup = Shields line makes it work as it should, and you can buy it through the Building menu and drop it for one of your soldiers, but it won't show up in the normal Buy menu because it's not actually a shield.
Putting in the AddToGroup = Weapons line puts it in the Buy menu but makes it a normal mainhand weapon instead. Adding it to bombs, or another random user-made group doesn't work either.
Build 15 gets worse and worse.

They need to fix that, offhand weapons rock! Although someone should try (I'm lazy) making the object "AddDevice = HeldDevice". I've noticed shields are that now, just make a weapon that has that instead of weapon, and hope it works.

It's either some variable that was taken out previously(might still be usable) or the DrawAfterParent = x

I don't know what DrawAfterParent does, but they took out HeldDeviceType.

When I did it, the only way you can get the weapon is when you bought it off the beginning bunker builder menu. Then the weapons that are dual wieldable wont show up.
