I've never modded before, so sorry if this is a rather newbish question ... but is it possible for a gun to determine how the actor it shoots gibs up ? I'd like to try to make something that explodes people in a rather brilliant display of gold, but the closest way I've been able to figure out so far is to gib the bullet on collision with the actor into a bunch of gold particles ... but then you could just shoot into the ground and make a gold mine.

No, at the moment what you want to do is impossible, the actor gibs the same way every time.

Alrighty. Isn't there something that'll change particles of one type to another ? Then the gun could just spawn something that has a delayed fire, like a grenade, that embeds itself into the actor that then makes a nice explosion and turns the actor to gold dust. That work :?:

You could make the weapon gib into gold. Such a weapon would be a grenade.

A bit of a topic change here, but how does one convert one material into another ? Like I said, you could kill a clone with an impact weapon and have a delayed-action grenade type device dust him right after.

you cant unless you had a gun that shoots bullets at a guy then a grenade with enough force to bury itself in an actor w/o killing it first. you just cant right now.
