That sucks. I remember in 7th grade my last gerbil died, but it was at 4 years old... its like a human living 100 years.

I had a hamster live to be 7...that amazed me as their expected life span is 2 years...that's the equivalent of (this is based on the average human living to 70) a human living to be 245.
