Noone has suggested the original doom (shareware). I would say oom 2 but that is still being sold you can get it for free from warez sites etc.(don't though)
Just got open ttd now I need the graphics files but from where?

 Penumbra ain't free! Hey,
Not sure if anyone mentioned this but Punumbra isn't free. It's a commercial game, they've only got a free demo. I didn't check out your link but if it's the full game it's not legal.
Anyway, you've got some good games there. I'd also recommend RamJets, Mu-Cade, Torus Trooper, and a bunch of other games which I'll link to when my site's up and running.
