Don't you find it a bit... odd that you celebrate your independence by blowing things up? maybe in iraq some soldiers are blowing up old houses with C-4...

I love firecrackers. Also roman candles. Also pcv(or pcp?) pipes + bottle rockets. I've got 3 pretty large packs of fireworks, one of them has a few mortars in it.

LOL. Not PCP, PCP is angel dust.

We didn't get any fireworks this year. :(
But we did see our local ones. Nothing special but they were kinda cool.

Blowing stuff up is just a random thing I guess, or maybe it has to do with that line in the national anthem 'Bombs bursting in air', that is why we blow ♥♥♥♥ up. Plus it looks cool.
