   |   Forum Game Devlopment DiscussionSup' Doods, As you know there are too many complex games, such as RTD, that require Constant Commitment and are not open to new people out of the blue.
Here, I plan that we devlop new simple games such as replacements for the long dead Vending machine game.

what say you data realms fan forums?

(this has been changed from simple to now midly complex games)

May there be any restrictions, sire? Do ye need specific rules?

   |   Re: Simple Game Devlopment DiscussionI think we need an alternative to random number generation. I want a strategy game where the outcome was certain from the beginning, maybe with predefined stats or something.

I would say this is the right section, as the Games part is for games and this is clearly discussing the rules. and Yes, we are here to devlop simple forum games such as the Vending machine game where by it doesn't require the commitment of one player, and that said player can constalty shift.

   |   Re: Simple Game Devlopment DiscussionHe ran a few games on the picturewars forums and those went well.A bit too well, actually, so they were pretty close to eachother and people grew tired of it.

   |   Re: Simple Game Devlopment Discussion"You can't play mafia on the internet!"A hundred threads would like to prove you wrong. Honestly I prefer online mafia to real life mafia, it's more about forward planning and less about just watching out for facial tics and someone dropping their poker face which honestly just makes things a little silly. Plus you can make things exponentially more complicated. But I'll not do that in game one But also nobody is going to want to post in the Christmas period so this isn't going to be until after new year. There's also www.epicmafia.com but that's a different beast again to how you play mafia on forums, not such a fan of that either but some people love it.

   |   Re: Simple Game Devlopment DiscussionBut yeah, mafia in this case, Isn't simple enough. We Need to go Simpler, but more complex than the "hello orange eggs" game, which was locked down for being that simple.

But yes, Apprantly it was too simple and turned into "mindless spam", so we need somthing with a bit of thought to it, but not too much though that it requires constant commitment every day.
