Hi, I've been reading other people's rtds for long time now and I quite enjoyed it, so now I want to try and make one myself. Here is the story: You wake up in a stasis chamber aboard a mysterious ship you know nothing about, you don't remember anything about your past, you don't even remember your name, fortunately it is written on your stasis pod. You have absolutely no idea how long you were in stasis. You have nothing but your clothe on you. The room you are in has six stasis pods, the walls are made of metal, there are a few things laying on the floor and a metal crate in the corner of the room. There is also a closed heavily reinforced door that appears to be the only way out of this room. Character sheet example: Code: Name: Joe Lagodasse Description: 186cm high european male Inventory: Nothing (Don't worry you'll find plenty of useful objects in the ship) Abilities (2): _Basic knowledge of astrophysics: +1 to piloting and anything involving astrophysics. _Weapons expert: can identify most weapons, +1 to armed combat I will roll using a random number generator: 1: Epic fail 2: moderate fail 3: moderate success 4: success 5: perfect success 6: overshot Here are some basic rules: _Don't be stupid _Post your actions regularly, I'll try to roll every day or two, but it won't be possible if you're not there. _Hostile actions against other players are allowed but that wouldn't be very clever since you will have very little chance to survive alone. _As you may already know english is not my native language so if I am not clear don't hesitate to ask me to reformulate _Have a good time. Players: _caekdaemon : Isaac Jones -Dead _Asklar : Charles Cross _Pseudorastafari: James Fisher _Nighthawk: Alexander Forsius _unwoundpath: Steve Master _ Sheets: |

If you get a 6, -1. If you get a 4 or lower, +1. |

Sorry 'bout the double post, but I have something to say. RtD games on the forum are kind of having a hard time getting players nowadays, since there are so many games and people don't sign up for every single one. The only RtD games absolutely guaranteed to get ridiculous amounts of players are those run by Torrent (since he's the official-unofficial God of RtD here). Anyway, to the point. I recommend, Mehman, that you simply start the game as soon as possible, regardless of the number of players currently signed up. It'll be faster than waiting, it will be easier for you to keep track of less players, AND you will attract more players if people see that the game is good. You can do what you wish, I'm just posting this because I think it'd be a better idea to start early. (Or maybe that's just me being impatient.) But I've said enough. Do whatever you feel like doing. It's your game. Nighthawk out. I'm TorrentHKU and I approve this message. I'm all for upstarts to make games, rather than just a few titans to dominate the scene. Edit - We nearly have six now. |

Go with five for now, and the sixth can be brought in when someone wants to play. You can say that the stasis pod they was in was located in a different part of the ship. |

Make my way out of the stasis pod to the center of the room. Take a good look around, especially at the objects strewn about the floor. I want to know what each individual item on the floor is. Also, a question about the game - how realistic is this? For instance, can I spontaneously ignite things using only the power of my mind? |

It is realistic, so no you can't ignite things with your mind unless you have a neural implant used to remotely control a flamthrower turret or another incendiary device. (and you don't have one) |

(and you don't have one) Well then, I'll have to get me some of those fancy neural implants. |
