You don't hear the mechanic's response, since you're already running for your mech. Gotta get topside. You arrive at your mech with nothing going catastrophically wrong, and even find a lift there for you! Good luck for you, huzzah.
A mechanic notices you're here, and approaches.
"Woah woah, we're still working on yours, buddy. Those wrist blade things of yours aren't even attached right now."

You ignore the mechanics doing work, and run over to your mech to get in. You lift yourself up fine, and enter the cockpit, then hit the startup switch. Most of your mecha's systems come online, save for weapons and movement. Looks like there's a signal coming from the mechanics saying to keep this thing from moving.
DAMMIT I SAID CALM YO TITS!
"I will calm my tits soon as I damn well feel like it! Hurry up, guns are happening!"

You look down, and see something under your seat. It's made of wood, and... uh... what the hell is this? Some kinda... flexible... vest... thing. Uh... should you wear this? You think? Well maybe just under your shirt so nobody can see it...
Just a... few more... Alright, it's done! Go, go, go!
"Fuuuuck yeaaah!"

You hear the clunk of the mechanics' lifts detaching from your Mecha, and several screens light up as your movement and weapon controls unlock. You then lumber your way over to the ramp up to the main deck.

You rush over to your mecha, but it takes a bit to find someone with a damn lift. Thankfully, it doesn't take TOO long, and you get up to your cockpit easily. When you enter, you find something resembling a wooden cork on your seat. You then realize it's the same size and shape as a plug for an interface port on your Cybernetics. Thinking you've nothing to lose, you slot the bastard in. As expected, it hurts when the contacts connect, but then...
Woah. This is different. Whatever the hell you just plugged in, it's not just a wood cork.
Whatever, right now you need to get going. To your surprise, your mecha moves before you can put your hands onto your controls. And it moved just how you wanted it to; hell, that was better than you could've driven it with the controls! You easily walk your mech over to the ramp, but find yourself behind Vlad.

Post haste, you get to your mecha. For once, the team manages to get into their mechas with little to no horrible problems. Except that everyone's getting piled up behind Vlad at the ramp.
