The man staggers over from something that seemed to have struck him in the head, but it doesn’t look like there was anything thrown at him, and the only person close to him is the woman but she didn’t seem to move.
Woman: ”We’re in a bit of a hurry. You can join us to Mead, but we don’t need an escort, thank you.”
She grabs the man by the arm and starts pulling him along.
Mailman: ”Aaoow, you don’t hold back on your punches do you.”
Woman: ”It was just a jab.”
You decide to follow them as they exit Hopluit, travelling on the cobbled road heading North.
The man occasionally pokes a purple bruise on his cheekbone while flipping through papers in his messenger bag, making remarks about things being on time or early.

Twin shortswords delivering twelve strikes, each hitting harder than the last, Lucida’s armor cracking and screeching as the white knight stands his ground and endures, the flaws in the armor vanishing as Vandolf ends his attack.
Two more people appear, the mailman you saw in Mead before. The other is a tall woman with long, pitch black hair, pale skin, and emerald green eyes. A large black cloak hangs from her shoulders and a wavy black sword in her hand.
With the three newcomers at the ready - well, two, Lucida vanishes in a flash of light.
Mailman: ”Looks like we made it on time. You alright there, Byrnolf?”
The battered aged man slowly gets up back to his feet.

He looks at you, laughing, before placing his gauntlet over the ragged wound. On the back of the hand is a symbol that looks like some fanciful compass that you’d find on an archaic map.
Lupus: ”Remember this Compass, you will see it again.”
A torrent of flame roars out from the gauntlet, devouring the lupus, roasting him until all that remains is a charred skeleton that crumbles into the ground. ____________________

You laugh a grave lupus laugh.

Drawing your two shortswords, you rush towards Mead with the others quietly following. As soon as you reach the town you rush towards the direction where people are running away from, and quickly spot Lucida standing amongst six downed men, John one of them.
You charge in and attack, unleashing a storm of twelve strikes.
Lucida stands his ground, the armor screeching and cracking as you batter it with increasingly powerful blows, but at the end of your assault all of the damage seems to fade away, leaving the armor flawless.
Lucida takes a quick glance at you and the two others before vanishing in a flash of light.
Mailman: ”Looks like we made it on time. You alright there, Byrnolf?”
The battered aged man slowly gets up back to his feet.
