"Well, Amazigh first saw it approaching, and fire on it twice, once with his Autocannons scoring a partial hit, and once with the Plasma Caster, missing. I also fired my missile pods and autocannon at the creature, hitting with the missiles.
After that, it changed targets from Amazigh to me, and knocked my mech back to the ground and pinned me down. It battered me with everything it still had, which wasn't much considering how much damage Amazigh and I dealt. It wasn't even fazed by our attacks.
Then it tried to charge some sort of energy attack in its mouth, so I stabbed it and rolled out of the way. That beam it shot... that was more powerful than any weapon I've seen. Sliced through the earth like a hot knife through butter. After that, something shot it."
"That was me."
"Tha-that was you?! Er, ma'am?"
"Yes. I shot it. I've got a few special weapons here on the ship, and I aimed for what I figured to be a headshot."
"Ah. Well after you shot it, it died, and faded into black smoke."
"Black... smoke? Are you sure? Not any sort of fluid?"
"Positive. Definitely smoke. Looked like when you pour liquid nitrogen on the floor and it just fades away."
"I... see."

The six pilots rise from their seats and leave, back to the labyrinthine ship.
"Too much bull♥♥♥♥, Nairle. A Demon, and this far from ground zero..."
"If I may, we should probably redirect ourselves towards the NovaCorp Command Headquarters as soon as possible. NovaCorp's resources are going to be vital to handling this."
"Yeah, I know, but... Aagh, I just can't handle this bull♥♥♥♥ anymore!"

Fiona rubs her forehead, obviously stressed.
"I need to get back in the game. I'm getting stir crazy."
"That's not an option currently and you're fully aware of it."
"...What about Olympus?"
"What ABOUT Olympus?"
"The White Blur should still be there."
"That would be a week's detour, a week we can't afford with your condition worsening by the day. And that's not to mention the troops bound to be guarding it."
"Nairle, I'm gonna go batshit insane and blow something up at this rate, and then my 'condition' is gonna turn to ♥♥♥♥."

Nairle gives Fiona a stern look, then sighs.
"You're just like a child you know. Fine, fine, I'll set the course."
"You're awesome Nairle. Oh, and pull out the BluePetal armor. I think we're gonna need it."

You veer off from the group and head towards the Mecha bay. When you get in, the whole place is buzzing with activity. Refueling, reloading, and most importantly repairing is going on to a good third of the mechs, including your team's Mechas. You look around for a Lead Mechanic, or better yet Erroni, but don't manage to find either. You'd be lucky to find ANYTHING in here, it's a madhouse.
Suddenly a loud THUMP echos through the bay, temporarily quieting everyone. A loudspeaker then turns on.
"The damaged Van Han has been retrieved, and is awaiting service on deck."
Relieved that the thump wasn't a gun of some kind, everyone heads back to work.

"Always smart to keep your gear in top condition. Gonna go restock my medkit real quick."
"I'll tag along, gonna see if I can get a prosthetic."

The two of you head through the hallways of the ship, arriving at the ship's full medical bay, rather than one of the smaller nurse stations peppered throughout the ship. You guess any old station would've sufficed, but you've got nothing better to do, so you head along with Kaime. Upon entering the Medical Bay, you note that it contrasts sharply with the rest of the ship. Instead of military steel, the walls all have a coat of white paint, and everything is kept very clean. A receptionist near the entrance greets you.
"Hello sirs, do you have an appointment?"
"No, but I just need my medkit refilled. It got some usage from the last mission."
"Ooh yes, I heard about that. Here, just give me your old one and I'll get you a new one."

You hand the kit over to the woman behind the desk, and she heads back into a storage room. A few seconds later, she comes back out and hands you a fresh kit.
"Will that be all?"

"Oh, no need to bother her with that. I'll forward the report to your room's console, go check that."
"Thank you ma'am."

You head with Vlad down to the Mecha bay, intending to have some work done as well. When you get there, he goes one way to check for someone in charge, while you go the other. Lucky you, you run into the Lead Mechanic in charge of your team's Mecha!
"Oh, hey John. What can I do for ya?"
"You know the wrist blades I have on my mech? Could you put the one on the Left arm onto the Right arm?"
"What, like one above and one below the hand?"
"Yeah, I guess."
"Lemme think real quick... Well it'll take some custom work, but I think it can be done. I'll let ya know!"

You walk down to the Medical Bay with Amazigh, and wait for him to get his medkit straightened out. You look around while you're waiting, and happily note that all curtains seem to be drawn back, meaning there are no patients right now. That's a good sign.
"Will that be all?"
"Ah, not quite. You know how he used his medkit?"
"Yes?"

You back up from the desk a bit so she can get a good look at you.
"Oh."
"I need a new leg."
"Well, have a seat over in room 5, and a nurse will be right over to check you over."

You hobble over to the 'room', which is actually just a bed with standard monitoring equipment and some curtains. No room for big examination rooms on this ship.

You head to the lounge, and find a vending machine. Fishing around in your pockets, you find... nothing. No Dr Pepper in the machine either, but it has Vanilla Coke, which you've never tried but sounds fantastic. Everything is $1.
Time to make some loot.
