Looking up, it looks like this stairwell goes on a lot further vertically.

You, Mist, and Aucupe start legging it to the North. It doesn't take long to leave the hazy town, and you quickly find your party traversing a sunlit grassy plain with a city not far on the horizon. It seems like a peaceful trek, until you reach the half-way point in between the last town and the city and scores of bodies come into view, littering the landscape with fresh and stale meat.

Conditions :
- Whirlwind Armor (+2 Physical Actions)
-- Solid Left Shoulder Piece (Cannot move left arm)
- Dislocated/Broken Left Shoulder (Cannot use left arm)

Black Dragon: No.

You open the door, step out, and take quick glances around with your sword ready. You're on the flat roof of the tower, with the entranceway you're standing in the only unusual feature. No enemies are in sight, and you and the dragon carefully step out into the light.

A familiar presence fills your mind momentarily-

Dragons are extremely resistant to direct magic attacks. You're better off using more brutish methods.

The dragon snaps at you and you barely leap back in time to avoid being caught in its maw, but the beast's snout hits you hard enough to cause you to tumble through the air while falling.

You observe the dragon and watch it try to... Bite? A black speck on its back, but instead knocks it off.

"So, Garm. Is the capitol building anywhere around here?"
Garm: "The tallest spire. I doubt we would be able to get to it without attracting the attention of the dragon, as they are known for their vigilance. Though, it does seem preoccupied with something already."

The last one breaks open, revealing a room filled with scattered desks, chairs, and papers. The sunlight pouring through the windows provides more than enough light to see by, and there isn't a body in sight.

Scanning the landscape of corpses, you stop when you notice there's a figure sitting further ahead, almost in the dead center of the field of bodies. It looks like a dark-haired human covered in gore, facing away from you and your allies.

Conditions :

You can climb down the building, though, right? We've got to get away from that beast and regroup with our party. I'll keep a lookout for enemies and fend off attacks.

You mount the Black Dragon, sitting on a spot on its back that isn't wounded, and pull out Firebrand. Letting out a detection wave with Echo Helm, you watch with your eyes as sickly green clawed hands grab onto the roof's ledge in front of you, and the Green Dragon pulls itself into view. Its head is slightly turned, watching you with its good eye, with its large teeth showing in a wicked smile.

Conditions :
- Torn Left Upper Arm (Can't use Left arm)
- Mounted on Black Dragon




(Roast Veg)

> You check out the bodies. There seem to be a mix of corrupted that are mutated version of the beings they used to be, and regular non-corrupted people/lupus/chirop.

There are far more corrupted than non-corrupted, and when your eyes move to the center of the field of bodies, you see a human covered in blood and guts sitting on the ground.

- Cut Left Foot (-2 Left Foot actions)

> Throwing your arms to the side and opening your wings, you're able to stop your spinning somehow and fly to a tower near the one the dragon is on, landing on the side and clinging to a window sill.

The green dragon ignores you and lets out a roar before climbing up the tower until it makes it to the top.

The three of you start heading towards the tallest tower. Occasionally there's a massive pile of rubble from a collapsed tower and you have to walk around it, but the streets seem to be mostly clear.

You get closer and closer to the green dragon, which lets out a roar and scales the tower its clinging onto and makes it to the roof. Looks like it won't be bothering you.

Near the same building, you see a chirop, like Feiar but taller, standing on the ground in dark blue clothing, looking up.

Feiar: "Hey! Maybe she can help us! HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY!"

The figure turns around and raises an arm up.

"Oh, alright. I was just going to go on my merry way, but since you're just begging for me to kill you:" >Pull out Sanguis and use Heaven's Blessing. Leap towards Green Dragon and use falling force to impale it with Sanguis, preferably near its spine.
