...Well I guess that theory on melee usefulness is out the window, eh? We went from melee could be useful (hammerbot) to melee is a bit less useful than ranged, to...melee is woefully ineffectual, being as there's basically a 400m dash of death before one can do anything up close.

After I nab the AR and place it on my back, sprint as close to the 'bots as I can, be evasive. Make good use of my nigh-superhuman strength and speed.
"Cover me!"

If there are enemies behind the one you are shooting you could potentially damage them, as in your rounds can overpenetrate some enemies, but they have negligible Blast effects.

After unleashing a spray of Acid onto the floor and waiting for it to burn away you take a look at your handiwork, an uneven 1-2 inch deep pit, which in places reveals a second darker layer of concrete, clearly not suitable for use as cover.

You would go to Grab the Assault Rifle but seeing how it wasn't even passed to you it's rather silly to try to grab it, one of the Drones manages to Strike you with a Rifle Round that tears through the right hand side of your Body but causes minimal damage.

You bring out your Machinegun and fire a poorly aimed burst at the Distant wall, you think that maybe the few rounds that were roughly on target managed to reach the far wall, but at such a distance it's hard to tell.

-Heavy Body Armour
Conditions:
-Cracked Left Wrist [-1 to actions involving left hand]
-Laser Burns [-1 to some rolls]

You slide your Assault Rifle over to #25943 before you open Fire on the Drones, Your shot drops just short of them spraying a fine dust of Shattered concrete at them, you tell #25982 that you aren't exactly sure what their sensors are, but you assume that their main sensor is the Central Eye on their head, but you have no idea if they possess any other sensors.
Abilities:
Inventory:
-Sniper Cannon [0/1] [|-------]
-Auto Grenade Launcher [4/4]
-Medium Body Armour
-Advanced Targeting System
Conditions:
-Crippled Left Leg [-1 to rolls involving movement]
-Boresight [+1 to shooting, -2 to rolls involving reactions to close events]

Deciding to modify your Barrier you split it into two and move them around to provide better protection, but they take a Barrage of Plasma and are almost brought down.

Ducking and weaving you keep moving forwards, but thankfully the Drones seem to be completely ignorant of you and you manage to advance completely unscathed.
Abilities:

-Pulse Laser [100%]
-Advanced Stealth Generator [100%]
-Basic Targeting System
Conditions:
-Psychic Burn Scars [-1 to most rolls]


Game Events:
The Plasma Rifle armed Drones Fire a Barrage at the Barriers, with less than half of the bolts impacting.
The Sniper Drones fare much the Same, one managing to cause #25958 a flesh wound and another hitting a Barrier.
