Re: RtD - Space
I should have known. "WHERE THE ♥♥♥♥ DID MY ARM GO"
Find a weapon (preferably a gun)
To Alexander: "If you find me some parts i can use to build a bionic arm I will give you my capacitator"

Re: RtD - Space
I don't want to intrude on your actions but you have less than an hour before you die if you don't get out of there, building a bionic arm would take you at least a few hours if not days and would be an extremely difficult task so you should really focus on getting out of the ship first. (I didn't say building one later would be impossible however) pseudorastafari wrote: I should have known. "WHERE THE ♥♥♥♥ DID MY ARM GO" IAMU-6452: "Four possibilities: 1. When the rematerialisation projector failed the energy was redirected to another and it materialised elsewhere. 2. The projector spread the matter into the air and you are breathing your arm right now. 3. As the energy couldn't flow out on this end your arm just stayed on the other side. 4. The energy couldn't escape and was sent to one of the reactors to prevent a catastrophic explosion. You're quite lucky you know, this could have happened to your head, or just to random parts of your body that would have caused massive bleeding and painful death."

"James, if you have plans on making a bionic arm for you, I could gladly help on connecting it to your shoulder and make sure it works fine with your nervous system. Sounds like a pretty good medical challenge to me, and I love medicine."

"Charles, If you help me build a bionic arm, I would be incredibly happy. It wouldn't have to be complicated, just sophisticated enough to hold a gun. But later is probably the best time. I just have a feeling that the best parts will be found on this ship."

"If it helps, odds are most of the ship might survive re entry. All that armour on the ships exterior taking a pounding for a thousand years probably could take the heat of re entry, but probably not the force of the impact. That means the ship is gonna get smashed across the surface.
Sounds fun huh? "

IAMU-6452: "I also have a few spare parts I in my container I usually use to repair systems on the ship, and I have the required skills to build one, however interfacing it with a biological unit may be a problem since I've never worked on them, I'm not a medical unit, so your help would be useful. We need to gather as many electronic components as possible, some metal parts would also be useful, but beware, for we are running out of time. 2942, 2941, 2940... caekdaemon wrote: "If it helps, odds are most of the ship might survive re entry. Sounds fun huh? " I've always had trouble understanding what humans call "fun", if I had the time I would ask IAMU-3512 about it, he truely understood humans and all their illogical concepts, anyway 2914, 2913, 2912 ... is this fun?"

Re: RtD - Space
Fun pretty much is taking happiness in doing a task. So IAMU-6452, do you "enjoy" working? If so, then that is fun. Also, does this ship have escape pods? Might be more reliable than the teleporter.

Search around the room
"So, uh... this is why I don't like teleporters, never trusted them. But anyway, I'll give James my scrap metal if he needs it for the arm."

IAMU-6452: "Well I never really asked myself this question, It didn't seem necessary before because I had a clearly defined purpose, but now that the ship is about to be destroyed I don't know anymore, also since I rewrote my entire AI I begin to realise I am now free, but whath should I do with that freedom, I'll meditate on that later, we have more urgent things to do right now. caekdaemon wrote: Also, does this ship have escape pods? Might be more reliable than the teleporter. Accessing ship's log in ship's archives... done They were 4250 escape pods on this ship, 4248 have been launched, the two others are severely damaged and won't withstand reentry, we may be able to repair them but that would take time, also a pod can only contain one person. Asklar wrote: "Does it have a dock with some more other little ships to travell around? Well... just in case there aren't escape pods, of course." It has a dock, and although I can't get enough information to determine if they are any ships inside it would seem logical that such a huge ship would have many smaller ones in its dock, but they may already have been stolen. To go to the dock there are two options: _by foot: ETA = 56min if you run, too long. _indirect teleport, there is no direct teleport line from here to the dock, so it would have to be two teleports to get there, I don't recommend that since we know nothing of the damage the projectors may have been exposed to in such a long time. Another solution to get out of there is experiment 47, when we discovered the device it was already at least 942000 years old and still in perfect working condition, it is doubtful that would have changed in the last 1246.154 years, and we know the internal teleporter to that location works. Still this jammed door may be a problem, these doors have been designed to withstand attacks from any kind of light energy and projectile weapons, but a powerful and focused explosion should be able to crack it open, we should check for grenades, artillery shells or demolition charges. Unfortunately all I see there are nuclear bombs and small arms, but we should search the room. 2814, 2813, 2812..."

Re: RtD - Space
"So I guess once we get out of here we are going to planet 4 (15485S-5). I think that i will use experiment 47 to get there, once I have looted what I need. We should figure out a way to locate each other.
And thank you all for offering your help with my arm. I'll need it."
