Riimuk: ”The main reserve is the mana that you place into the runic spell. Individual runes do not store mana. I do not know exactly how mana is stored into a runic spell other than that you direct it into the Compass. Mana can not be drawn out of the Compass, the runic spell would have to be designed or modified to release mana if you want the mana back.

As for discovering more runes on your own, you would either have to find another runic mage, an old book, or experiment by drawing random things until you figure out what’s a new rune and what the rune does, though that can be extremely dangerous.”

You go to check out the caravan, inspecting the area for traps, but there don’t seem to be any. There’s an uneasy feeling you’re getting as you move closer to the wagon, however.

Faren-Wuust: Caravan has a nasty thing inside, not sure what it is but it does not seem dangerous, at the moment. Just unpleasant.

Man 1: "With Vranhal's ban on religious practices, religious artifacts have quite a price on them, you see. We transport artifacts between the Lupus settlements and Esthen's territories, and occasionally sell a few trinkets to Vranhal folk."

With the appearance of the two men, there's a slight creaking sound coming from the caravan.

Miimas: "Uh, does anyone here that?"

Man 2: "Probably just the wind, our caravan is really showing its age."

For example, the distance hinges at five? Five what? Five of the size of the compass away? Five lupuses away?

And is there any way to... not just have it explode? Displace the explosion so it happens elsewhere? Maybe have something else happen? Points of light? Have it write and erase text?"
