Nah.

We can rely on our smell well enough.

Very true.

What's with mixing the toy with dead snakes? It wont become a pet and it will become repulsive to children; rendering our sales pitch useless.

The epic possibilities are worth it. Plus, we won't get anywhere without experimentation.

I think we should just focus on the log, at least for now.

We'll want to improve our gear first, trust me.

In level of priority: (I'm not sure about costs, so just cut the bottom ones off if we don't have enough.)
    Luscious Timber
    Ham Sammich
    Plain Shield
    Clean Spring Water
    Flous Gauntlets
    Luscious Timber

If we get two timbers, mix one with the shield. (Shield + Log)
Shield + Clockworkx3
Shield + Alloy

Dead Snake Pauldron thingy + Dead Snake

Timber + Alloy

Equip the shield
Equip the gauntlets

We got 1735, so:

    Luscious Timber: 125

    Plain Shield: Lucidus Shield: 500
Clean Spring Water: 150, but useless. What even is a CW?
    Flous Gauntlets: 150
    Luscious Timber: 125
    Total = 1025

If we get two timbers, mix one with the shield. (Shield + Log) The shield is already wooden if we get this one. A bit more cash, but it's a nicer shape. And shape is everything!
((Shield + Clockwork) + Clockwork) + Clockwork
Shield + Alloy
Shield + Ball Launcher

Dead Snake Pauldron thingy + Dead Snake Dead Snake in the Hand part of the arm mould.

Timber + Alloy

Gauntlets + Clockhand

Equip the shield
Equip the gauntlets
Equip the snake-gloves

My changes/notes in green

As good as selling the ball toy may be, the possibility of a tri-clockwork strength, shield-mounted ball launcher outweigh them, I believe. Especially considering the fact we made insane cash just then by a little 'faecing.

Some ♥♥♥♥ing punk came along and someone said hit im in the face, and pendulum was destroyed? I still vote we merge John the Hamma with Pendulum, to get some kind of temporal hammer.

Dex, get us an alloy log now. More than one other story is waiting aroud for us to open the stupid wall. Besides, once we do we'll have access to a bunch of new materials, such as screws, metal pots and rings, volcanic rock, and creepy metal thingies. Plus I want to see you draw boxbot.

I'm not saying don't buy it, just that it's currently pretty unknown. Seeing as experimentation is something both fun and potentially deadly... lets go for it!

((Shield + Clockwork) + Clockwork) + Clockwork Why this way instead? You didn't specify an order. I popped it in an order that I thought would result in a more powerful mechanism than a single, powerful gear would. Either way would work.
Shield + Alloy
Shield + Ball Launcher What Ball Launcher?http://forums.datarealms.com/viewtopic.php?p=358790#p358790 , the one made in the first combination

Dead Snake Pauldron thingy + Dead Snake Dead Snake in the Hand part of the arm mould. Mould = Non-bastardised version the American word "mold"

Timber + Alloy

Gauntlets + Clock Hand
Gauntlets + Snake Gloves

Equip the shield
Equip the gauntlets
Equip the snake-gloves

My more changes in blue.

Anyone else feel free to comment.
Also, I didn't mean we grindfaec for cash, just that cash is apparently a really easy thing to get, and so not worth selling the Orb Launcher, which could be useful.

The spring water restores a cogwheel, which are our mana bars. They let us use special moves such as Krieghammern Grobshlagen. So the ham sammiches are money burning potions, and the spring waters are money burning ethers.

Suggestion 2 (AKA OPERATION "BEEF JOHN UP"):
    Luscious Timber(7): 850
    Ham Sammich(5): 500
    Clean Spring Water(2): 300
    Total = 1650

Timber + Alloy
((((John + (Dead Snake + Feather)) + Timberx6) + Alloy) + (Clockworkx3 + Clock Hand)) + Toy
