Post Re: [RTD] A Dying World
Sorry for the wait but with the holidays and school starting up again and getting grounded I have had very little computer time.
This is like the one excuse that isn't just "lol im lazy" so yeah

Roll 5 - Day 1

Harzipan - Evagria 9:
"Anything important I can assist with?"
"Yeah, there's some enemies over in front of the car, about 600 something metres. Get ready to fire, but wait for Cass' signal.
You wait.
"Wait for my shot, take down the sniper and grenadier first!"
A very loud and crisp CRACK goes off and one of the soldiers falls over. That's your signal. Cass put a firing marker on the grenadier. You get a bit of altitude by climbing onto a nearby rock and start firing at the soldiers. A small cluster of bullets manage to hit the soldiers by the limbs. One of said bullets nicks the grenadier in the shin and he falls down. Your teammates rapidly gun down the grenadier with their firing. (+1 for Focus Fire)

Lucem - Siobhan 13:
You make a run for a nearby tree. Cass makes a very nice shot at the sniper. He falls over immediately. Just as immediately the enemy soldiers start to flip the ♥♥♥♥ out. Before you can let them shoot, you do. You hit one of the shotgunners in the head with your rifle. He slams the ground accordingly, and a pool of blood spews out of the holes in him. (+1 for Focus Fire)

Arcalane - Cassidy 12:
"♥♥♥♥ brilliant. Wait for my shot, take down the sniper and grenadier first!"
*CRCHAAACKK*
With a loud, satisfying clap and the shuttering of echoes, your sniper sounds off and pierces the enemy square in the chest, fatally wounding him. Moving your sights slightly leftward you put a marker on the grenadier while simultaneously preparing the gun for it's next shot. The bolt moves smoothly back and forward again, smoke rising from the barrel and ejection port. You love your gun. You're pretty sure everyone else loves your gun too.
You hear the bangs and pows of your teammates firing at the enemies. Not nearly as loud as your gun.
Other bodies among the Russian gang drop hastily and without any resistance.

TheKebbit - Charlie 9:
You listen, annoyed by the loud noise, as your team takes out what was apparently a group of soldiers. No matter, you think, as you head to work.
Taking small pieces of metal, you weld together a frame for the core's core to rest. Then, taking a small fuel can and a small, round "grenade" (a metal sphere with gunpowder and a fuse), you assemble what will serve as the antigravity thingamadoodad. Luckily enough the vehicle did have a few spare component boards for the sphere itself, but it looks like they require manual assembly. You quickly put together the simple device and fit it in the round opening on the grenade-now-core. It will take at least 5 minutes for the circuitry to kick in and calibrate itself, testing the gravitational force of Earth and balancing.

CrazyMLC - Jonathon 12:
You take out your battle rifle and take aim at the opposing sniper. Ignoring your superior's orders, you take a shot. At the same time, your superior takes a shot, masking the noise of your own and subsequently wasting a bullet.
Afterward you just take pot shots at the other enemies. 1, 2, 3 fall. 4 and 5. Soon, they are all dead. Judging by what you saw, you killed one of them.

Izen - Jacob 9:
You quietly sprint off to the side of the car and hide behind the front's curvature, focusing on the enemies with your LMG. Your prop up the bipod and await your leader's orders. Moments later, your ears ring and the Russian sniper drops to the ground, giving you and your squad the signal to fire. Strangely you felt as if you heard another noise, slightly before the shot. You fire at the enemy, but they quickly fall to the rest of your team's firepower before you are capable of doing much damage.

Maart3n - Herbert 10:
Due mostly to you and Cass, the enemies quickly die. The *chk-achk-achk-achk* of the heavy gun mounted on the vehicle can be heard over the sounds of all the other guns. Using this huge gun is very satisfying, and you feel lucky to be the one using it.

CaekDaemon - Johnathon 10:
"God damn it. Long range combat, and all I have is a shotgun."
"Why does this crap keep happening to me?"

You duck behind the transport and wait it out. In mere moments a barrage of fire comes and goes. You slowly look up and out of your hiding place at where the enemy stood, now lies. Well, that wasn't so bad then was it?
You are the first to head back into the vehicle where you watch Charlie messing with the engine.
You silently nod, although he doesn't see it. You take a seat and wait for the engine to start back up and the rest of the squad to get back in.

WORLD EVENTS

The enemies die and Charlie fixes the engine. 5 minutes later it is fully repaired and everyone is ready to get back to driving.

"And that is how it's done, boys. Let's get moving before they realize one of their patrols has gone dark."

" why don't we just loot them? We'll also be sure of their deadness." Stay in the turret and suggest course of action.

"So, uh, no good songs, then?"

"I'll just listen to some music I have with me."
