You guys know how I'm like three weeks late for this? SORRY. Seriously, I do not mean that jokingly or facetiously. I basically had a writer's block, for lack of a better word, and I could have halfheartedly wrapped up the current mission/episode of Ether and then basically been stuck. "But Rags, don't we get to choose what to do? Sounds like you're saying you didn't have a plot planned out, but why would you need one?" Absolutely true- after this introductory mission is over (very soon) you will be free to do whatever your heart desires. However, there's obviously still going to be an action/reaction relationship between the DM and players, and if I hadn't really been in the mood for it, the rolls would have likely been something like, "You travel towards the unknown planet with your massively armed spaceship and band of mercenaries and scantily clad women. You emerge onto the barren surface to find that there is literally nothing there. What do you do."
So why am I writing this? Because I'm pretty sure I'm over that block and I'm ready to roll. Alphagamer774, DSMK2, as soon as you guys get your actions in (preferably by early tomorrow) I'll be able to roll

He squeezes the "trigger" of the Vortex Driver at near point blank range and finds himself soaring through the air. That was in the heat of the moment though, and it's a little difficult remembering exactly how she did it. "Let's start with the basics:" she stretches out her hands and concentrates earth ether into the shape of a disc big enough to cover her body. "Hm, not bad, but a little slow and I have to hold it up. It's more like having a shield than having cover. Hmm..." She ponders how she could try improving the technique, her mind totally blank. ============================================= Appearance: Shoulder-length black hair, green eyes, muscular build. ===Equipment=== Primary Weapon: PUSHKA Artillery Cannon [1 AB|9 HE/8 FG/3 AP/11 AB] ---High power long range cannon. D moves to the closed box closest to him and places his hand on the touchscreen. Sure enough, the box opens for him just as it did for John, revealing a weapon case inside with a pamphlet on top. He reaches for the pamphlet and flips it open to get some information on the weapon:

Additional Developer Notes: "Do we really want to spend so much time and money developing what is essentially a very strong Taser? The raw power output IS impressive, and practical testing shows the weapon can easily stop almost any target at close range, from large wildlife to combat bots, but I have serious doubts about its versatility. We need to find a middle ground between this and say, an electrolaser, to have a well-rounded weapon capable of performing well in multiple situations. The max effective range on this seems to be about 10 meters, and optimal lethality occurs around 5 meters."
D then reaches inside and picks up the weapon itself, which resembles something akin to a shotgun, except roughly three times as wide as any typical firearm. The outer shell of the weapon seems to be an extremely sturdy yet lightweight alloy with a grey matte finish. The Pulsar itself is arranged in a bullpup configuration, and is roughly the same size as his Jackson rifle. There's a variable zoom scope on top, which goes from 1x to 6x magnification, and most of the gun has a chromed finish while the grip is ridged to increase stability. ============================================= Appearance: 5'9" ===Equipment=== Held:Pulsar ---A marksman electrolaser operating on the principle of using a laser to ionize air molecules and create a plasma channel to transfer a massive jolt of electricity. Poke around and see if I can find some manufacturing tools, or anything hot enough to do some makeshift welds with. Keep the pulsar, if I have to choose.

If you choose to use it over your currently equipped rifle, you don't have to "drop" your old weapon- you can carry it around in your inventory. The Pulsar would just be your "at the ready" weapon.

Alpha: Since the Arc Blaster is a close range weapon, I might end up having to be pretty close to possibly dangerous targets to use it effectively. The Pulsar seems to be the better end of the scale :d
