Oh, is that what we're supposed to be doing? My apologies, I thought we were supposed to be gentle with it.
Sarcasm mode activate. Also, switch to Ripper, start plugging rounds.

Game Events
As the beast tumbles to the ground, the Agent almost casually moves to where it lands and raises his fist full of charged energy, then slams it into the frontal armor of the nearly dead body. A small shockwave smashes the head of the beast into mush. The same incineration and death-howl as the first creature's death accompanies the decomposition of the second, which seems almost anticlimactic the second time around.

"Okay. So... I probably can't tell you much as you'd like, but I can tell you a hell of a lot more than you know now," the Agent begins. "If you want you can ask a few questions when I'm done giving you the basics. I don't exactly have all day, but I'm not a huge rush either. Let's see, where to start..." He cups his right hand under his chin, evidently in deep thought. "It's like this. I'm an Agent, as you've heard, but that's not my name or what I am, it's what I do. I can't tell you for whom I work for, so don't bother asking. It would take way too long to explain anyways. The ♥♥♥hole who was in here earlier, Absalom, is also... like me. He wasn't nearly as strong last time I met him, but then again, we knew he was up to something. Maybe he was just having a burst of power from his little "upgrade." Still, I wouldn't be surprised if he rivaled me in strength now," the man went on, then added, "I'm not exactly at my full power now. I went through quite a few rather difficult fights before showing up here. This facility wasn't much of a challenge at all compared to what I did earlier, so you can imagine how drained I am.

"Now, about those beasts he summoned. They're... I'm guessing you know how ether works, at least in basic principle? I definitely saw two or three of you using ether abilities."
The group collectively nods. "Well, I- my kind- know a little bit more about the mechanics behind it. When you conjure up raw matter like you do with an ethereal attack, it's coming from a different... realm. Not exactly a different dimension, or a different 'world,' or a parallel universe. It's a place we generally refer to as the Ethersphere. There's much more to it than this, and we're starting to talk quantum mechanics, which I'm no whiz at but basically, here's where the Ethersphere is in relation to your physical universe. The physical universe is infinite in size. There's no way to reach an 'end' or 'limit.' It's not just huge, as scientists have theorized up until now, it's literally boundless." He pauses as if trying to decide how to best phrase what he's about to say. "Well. The entire physical universe is contained within the Ethersphere. Don't ask me how the hell you can contain something of infinite size- again, not my strong suit. I don't understand it, but I know it's the truth. I've seen proof of it with my own eyes. As for going between the Ethersphere and this universe, that's a different matter entirely- again, infinite size, so you can't just mosey on over to the edge of the universe and step into Ethereal territory. Not how it works."

Seeing mixed reactions of shock, incredulity, disbelief, and blank stares, he quickly continues, "My point in telling you this isn't metaphysical speculation. Everything that you conjure using ether comes from the Ethersphere. It doesn't exist there in complex form, you're literally pulling out raw matter- basic compounds, basic elements, hell, maybe you're assembling this stuff atom-by-atom for all I know- and turning it into what you want. Those things that Absalom summoned here, they're products of the Ethersphere, too. The proper term for one is an 'Etherbeing,' but they're usually pretty monstrous, so 'Etherbeast' has started becoming a pretty popular substitute." He pauses and looks back towards where the Etherbeasts had been. "Making a living organism from raw matter is fairly complicated," he continues. "A puff of fire, or a gust of wind, that's child's play. You're not even aware of the effort it takes for basic attacks- maybe if you use too many in a short amount of time, you'll feel a little tired, but that's just exertion. When you're making an Etherbeing, you have to be able to kind of picture it in your head and then gather all of those different materials together to create it. It can take years of practice for an average user to make something the size of a dog.

"Some people have tried finding ways around that complication. I've seen a lot of weird beasts made from just a few elements, simple combinations that somehow work- at least long enough to be used in battle. Never thought I'd see a living thing made of nothing but salt and water, for instance. Anyways, I'm sure something you're all wondering about is why your attacks didn't do ♥♥♥♥ at the start of the fight, right?"
A chorus of nods once again. "The ♥♥♥♥ that Absalom summoned were a whole different class of Etherbeing. We call them Sentients because, well, they're conscious. Just like humans or complex AIs. Yeah, think about that. Masses of ether that are sentient and can use ether. I don't like thinking about the ramifications of that. You saw a pretty basic one with their attacks- they can summon material from the Ethersphere and use it like 'magic' the same way you can. But anyways, the reason your attacks weren't doing anything: Sentients don't have to be physically summoned. Instead, their consciousness is projected onto the physical universe. They're kind of like ghosts. You can't do anything to them, but because they can use ether attacks, they can do plenty to you with just their thoughts, basically. I used a technique that works by sort of tracing the connection between their projections of consciousness and their masses in the Ethersphere, then yanks the two together and forces them into the physical realm. That's why after I did that, we kicked ass pretty easily." He stops and takes a deep breath.

"OK, so that's pretty much everything relevant that I can think of. Any questions? Can't promise I'll answer all of them, but I think I'm alright with responding to most."

Instead of actions for a roll, this'll essentially be a Q&A session with the Agent for a little while. Ask whatever you want. I'll answer questions as soon as I see them instead of "rolling" and answering everything at once. The next roll will either be in 2 days or when everybody decides they're done talking. Feel free to ask multiple questions at once to save time, don't go overboard.

"So, is Absalom a bad guy and you're a good guy? Or is it the other way around?
Actually, better question, which of you wants to help us rather than kill us?"

"Absalom is more crazy than bad. 'Good' and 'evil' are kind of subjective terms, but I guess I'd say I'm a 'good' guy, at least in the sense that I have no interest killing, hurting, subjecting, using, or abusing innocent people like yourselves. I'm a peacekeeping agent above all else."
