You set the ship to stop, and head down to check on the rest of the crew. James stays in the cabin for now.

Miggles (Robert Wright) [9]:
You stumble over to the stairs, and head back on deck, passing the captain on your way up. You then lean against the rail and stare up into the sky. It's pretty dark now, and the stars are out tonight. It's quite beautiful.
You feel your mind clearing. Whether from the night air, or from the light of the stars, or from mutant radiation from the engine you don't know. But you don't feel drunk anymore.

Izen (Sedraxis) [3]:
You manage to crawl a few feet over towards one of the windows.
Then you puke. Everywhere. It's totally uncontrollable, and just keeps spewing forth despite your best efforts.
You curl up into a ball, but then puke again and decide that curling up is a very bad idea.
Mare brings you a bucket, which you graciously accept.
"I WILL NEVER TRUST YOUR MAGIC AGAIN"
"I'm sorry mate, magic on humans is difficult you know."

Oh ♥♥♥♥. That backfired. That backfired VERY messily.
You quickly search for and find a bucket, and get it to Sedraxis.
He needs it...

Tomaster (James Tiber) [10]:
Troy leaves to go do something, and you peer out the windows. A whole lot of dark night sky, drifting clouds, and large things shifting down at the cloud layer.
Wait, shifting? Clouds don't shift. Clouds drift.
You try to get a better look.
"Oh ♥♥♥♥... That's not a cloud!"

Game Events: The ship slowly drifts, eventually stopping movement entirely. Something large shifts in the clouds below. Only James actually sees it, and runs out onto the deck.
Suddenly, something huge shoots up out of the clouds, a massive pillar 10 feet around. No...
A massive tentacle.
Then another on the other side of the ship. Then 2 more. They reach down and wrap around the ship, causing the wood to groan with stress. The entire ship shakes violently, and a loud squeal rings out over the sky, emanating from the cloud layer far below.
"What IS THAAAAT?!"

LET THERE BE ROLL.

Ragdollmaster (Troy) [1]:
"Son of a ♥♥♥♥♥! Get topside, NOW!"
You quickly assess the situation, and attempt to get topside. Sadly, when you spin on your heel to get back upstairs, you spin a bit further than intended, slip, and fall flat on your rear. Grif and Mare both run past you up to the deck, while Sedraxis continues puking.

"Sweet mother of God! What is that?!"
WELL IT IS TENTACLES.
VERY LARGE TENTACLES, WRAPPED AROUND THE SHIP.
SCIENTIFICALLY, YOU'D RATE THAT AS A '♥♥♥♥' ON A SCALE OF '1' TO '♥♥♥♥'.

Fail Flail (Grif Mason) [8]:
No need to wake up, that shaking already got you up. Looks like the combination of your little catnap and an adrenaline rush pushed the booze from your mind, too. You grab Charlotte, tuck her into a special pocket on the inside of your jacket (a pocket you installed just in case something like this happened), and run up to the deck. You see...
Oh holy ♥♥♥♥. There are several giant tentacles grabbing onto the ship. From the looks of it they're from a Sky Octopus, and are mostly latched onto the sides, and only the tips are reaching over the top. Fun fact: the tips are more sensitive than the rest of the tentacle.

"Oh goody.
Now the boat is shaking.
Kill me already..."
You try your very hardest to not continue puking everywhere. You succeed!
You manage to only puke in the bucket this time.
"Guh..."
You lie there exhausted, and feel yourself out. You're pretty sure that you're done puking now.

Maart3n (Mareikura) [6]:
You run up to the deck to see what's causing all the ruckus. Ah, a giant sky-cephalopod!
"Anybody hungy, I heard squid is quite tasty."
You form two fireballs, one in each hand (6+1=7), and lob them at one of the tentacles. They collide, and the fire splashes over the tentacle, lighting it on fire. A loud screech comes from the sky below, but the tentacle holds fast. Looks like you're gonna need more firepower.

Tomaster (James Tiber) [10]:
You run outside, see one of the tentacles on fire, and pull out your blunderbuss. At this range, you'd have to be an idiot to miss. Thankfully, you aren't an idiot. The shot hits dead center, and a second squeal of pain comes out from the clouds below. The tentacle releases its grip momentarily, then latches back down on the ship, splintering the railing.
