Can I just say that these leisure turns are great. They let us explore the world of the RtD better then if we was busy doing the main quest.

Can we have more of them?

^What he said.

And 12 sided dice would be cool.

You'll get more of them, but if I give you too many, you guys will become overpowered.

Also, as far as exploring the world... I am making everything up as I go along, you realize. I am also mapping everything that you guys encounter.
So far there is mapped: Colber, The Mountain Stronghold, the hilly plains you guys are travelling through, A Door in the Hillside, and Auid.

Secondly, it appears that there are more 12-sided die votes than 6. Therefore, I will switch everything to 12. This will take a bit of planning and ability alteration, so expect some of delay.
Adam has informed me, however, that he will be gone for most of this weekend, so that delay works out. Hopefully, he will be back sometime later tomorrow and the round will be up then.

A good night the the Players.

Post Re: Roll to Dodge - Illusia
Alright. Here it comes... the 12-sided-ness is here! I will have to make QUITE a few changes to suit this, so... yeah.

Change #1 - The basic die rolls.

Every die roll has basically been split in half. Your epic fails now contain Uber Fail and Epic Fail, your Perfect Successes now contain "Heck yes." and "Freaking AWESOME!" etc.
There are still overshots, because I love overshots. It gives me more of a chance to beat the crap out of you guys. :grin:

1 = Uber Fail
2 = Epic Fail
3 = PowerFail
4 = Fail
5 = Hey at least I didn't fail
6 = Well that worked out... okay.
7 = Not bad. Not bad.
8 = Yay I succeeded.
9 = Heck yes.
10 = Freaking AWESOME!
11 = This is getting out of hand...
12 = OH MY GOD

#2 - Combat system.
This remains pretty much the same. To dodge, you must roll equal to, or higher than your opponent. If the attacker rolls a 4 or lower, the defending side gets a chance to counterattack. If they roll higher than a 4, they will counter, doing damage equal to how high their counterattack rolls. ALSO, When 11s and 12s are rolled to ATTACK, they count as 9s and 8s, respectively. If the defender fails to dodge roll when an overshot attack is rolled, they take TONS of damage due to getting hit by an overshot. When 11s and 12s are rolled to DODGE, they count as 9s and 8s, once again, but do not have any other effects besides that. Therefore, the best you can ever roll is a 10.

#3 - Abilites.
Your abilites are changed due to this, of course, and it will make them much more balanced. If you had a passive ability that allows for a +1, that will most likely remain the same, and you will be allowed to train more to reach a maximum of +2 or +3 (Still debating this in my head).
If you were recieving a +1 because of a Glyph-empowered item, (CoughWolfGearCough) that will most likely remain at 1 to keep you from going nuts combining that with a passive ability.

#4 - A little side note.
I'm thinking of changing the Equipment system to make it easier for me to keep track of you guys' stuff.
Rather than giving you both an Eq. slot AND an Inv. slot, I will combine both into one slot, and simply use the * mark (asterisk if you don't know) to show that you have the item equipped.

#5 - I may screw up.
If I mess something up (which I probably will) due to the new system, please tell me in your post and I will fix it as soon as I can. I will try not to do this, but it happens, you know.

#6 (How Ironic. Six points.) Have fun!
I think this new system will be a lot more balanced and fun. Just keep playing RtD, people. But don't forget that you can still die....

And now we play on!

Tokochiro (3)

"ARGHDRADA MY FOOT!UNHOLY SANDWICH IT HURTS!"

You try to stop your pain. Maybe it'll stop if you give your body something else to worry about. You pinch yourself really hard on the arm, and for a second it stops. You don't feel anything.

Then your foot and your arm hurt.

Inv. [4]
-Bandage (1) [1]
-Nunchuck Cane [3]*
P-Abilities
-Helping Hand (+1 to assisting friends)
-Taekwondo (Chance to block oncoming punches or kicks (2nd dodge roll))
A-Abilities
-Minor Regeneration
-Minor Plant Control
Status
-Right Foot - Broken (-2 to dodge rolls, No use of foot) (Regenerating... 7 turns left...)
-Left Arm - Light Brusing (Slight pain)

caekdaemon (9)

"Well ♥♥♥♥."
You decide to continue searching for your ores. This time you go around the other side of the hill and start digging around. Your nails scrape something. Smooth. Cold. Metal. You are renewed with energy, and you dig ferociously around the rock until you have in your hand a round block of stone filled with many large veins of metal ore. You stand triumphant, but man is this thing heavy.

Inv. [10]
-Small Hammer [2]
-Enhanced Large Hammer [4]*
-Stone of Metal Ore [4]
P-Abilities
-Metal Worker (+1 to metalcraft)
A-Abilities
-Minor Mental Forge
Status
-Nothing

Ociamarru (2)

You have a strange feeling that something important is going on where Adam and Gabriel are. You walk over and see a small door in the side of the hill. That's odd. Maybe you should knock.
So you do.
You rap the door three times.
You try once more.
No answer. Okay, then. Time to let ourselves in.
You back up a few steps, then charge, shoulder-first at the door. (2 v. 10 (Just kidding... doors don't get dodge rolls...))
You failed to notice, however, that the door is rather small, and you hit your face on the ground above it, falling down with a faint *thump.*
Oof.

Inv. [7]
-Hammer [3]
-Badass Wolf Gear w/ claws [4] (+1 to all dodge rolls, and Primal Beast Senses)*
P-Abilities
-Expert Craftmanship (+1 to metalwork)
-Strong Arms (+1 to strength rolls)
A-Abilities
-None
Status
-Concussion (-1 to next roll)

Torrent (-)

You walk over to the group gathering about the door, and hold up the strange beetle.
At first, they don't seem to think much of it. Woohoo. A giant beetle. We've seen giant snakes, giant humanoid furry things... whatever.
So you lift up the wing casings.
Everyone leaps back with surprise. A huge beetle with saws for wings? Now THAT is a discovery. Gabriel seems especially intrigued.
"I've never seen a beetle like this one before. What purpose do the wings serve? With a shell this hard," Here he gives the beetle's shell two knocks of his fist, resulting in a sound that resembles a bell. "it wouldn't need to fight off predators."

It's puzzling.

Inv. [5]
-Hip Flask [2]
-Razor Beetle [1]
-Dagger [2]*
P-Abilities
-Sleight of Hand (+1 to dexterity)
A-Abilities
-Minor Force Imbuement
-Minor Healing Touch
Status
-None

CaveCricket (5)

You try to communicate with the strange beetle, but get only a static-buzz, like you're getting no signal. It's alive, though. You can tell that.

Inv. [13]
-Shortsword [3]
-Dan's Black Powder Rifle (Unloaded) [4]
-Dagger [2]
-Nikolai's Longsword [4]*
P-Ablities
-Stealthy (+1 to sneak)
A-Abilities
-Minor Telepathy
Status
-None

Adam (1)

You make a fireball in your palm and put your hand to the doorknob, but then realize that you're using the same hand for both actions. Oh shite.

The knob explodes into splinters. Thankfully (for your teammates) you block most of them with your body. Chainmail does it's job for a few, but some splinters pierce through the rings, and you fall over yelling out in pain.

Inv. [5]
-Broken Handle [1]*
-Chainmail [4]*
P-Ablities
-Fist Fighter (+1 hand to hand combat)
A-Abilities
-Pyrokinesis
Status
-Upper/Lower Body - Pierced by glass splinters (Great pain, -2 to all rolls, Slight Bleeding)

EVENTS

After all this happens, the door slowly creaks open, revealing a little old man. Is this... a dwarf?
"Is someone knocking on meh door?" Then he sees that much of the party bears injuries. For a second his eyes widen, then he returns to his casual tone.
"That don't look good fer yer health, now do it? Come inside, laddies. I'll fix ya up."
You all exchange looks. He seems pretty nice. Gabriel shrugs and walks in. The party follows.

I wonder if the beetle gets a dodge roll. Those saw blades may be for throwing.

Well not throwing, but launching.

I'm too confused to think, so I am going to help a certain someone lift a certain big-ass hunk of metal - hopefully working my way to even stronger arms. But priority one is finding a nice spot to use it.
