On the subject of their "blood" it could be a fluid used in hydraulics or something like that, but it's also possible they use organic components given the things we faced in the entry area.

It explodes just out of sight, blinding the pair of bots with a disorienting explosion and causing them to run into and bounce off of the wall directly in front of them. Jet fires the next two grenades, both high-explosive, and blows the bots to pieces. A hail of gunfire erupts from nearby as D shoots towards the already defeated bots, stopping soon after he realizes the pointlessness of his attack. "Beat you to the punch, D!" It shatters just before impact, sending a fragmented spray of razor-sharp shards that shred one of the robots to pieces. The other, using the first for cover, quickly tumbles behind the wall next to it. "Damn. Those little fragments will rip through armor pretty easily, but they don't have the same penetrating power as my Terra Spike- they can't go through one enemy and kill the one behind it. Giving it all that he's got it, John drunkenly hurls himself toward cover while both bots fire their shotguns, embedding a buckshot pellet into John's leg. Jackson leaps from cover in a sideways roll with perfect timing as the bots pump fresh rounds into their guns, his Rhino at the ready. Quickly raising his gun arm (Roll + Gunslinger = 7), Jackson fires a concussive round into the head of one bot, then finishes his roll behind cover as the second bot fires another spray of buckshot pellets towards Jackson, failing to hit in time. Before the bot has a chance to fire again, Jackson whirls out of the corner and fires a second round straight into the head of the second bot, downing it instantly. "Clear. Better finish the job," Jet decides, and fires the flashbang loaded in his MGL in front of the bots while taking cover. As soon as it explodes, he spins out of cover to see the bots blindly rushing forward. Jet quickly fires the 2 remaining HE shells, scoring a direct hit on one of the bots. A flurry of smoke, sparks, and blood is thrown out into the air. When it clears, the mangled bodies of the bots are clearly visible. "Got 'em. "Eargh. I might just cause more damage. Better let someone else handle this." Soon, D and Jackson run up to him, and the latter takes the medkit and starts to work on John. "Hol' still. Mike readies his pistols and runs out from cover, slightly shocked to realize that he cannot, in fact, enter a state of slow-motion. Damn! That's half of my plan! Undeterred, he starts to fire at the two visible bots. Even though he has the drop on them, they are quick to react and dodge to opposite sides of the corridor so that Mike has to focus on one. Disabling the first with a series of shots, he feels an impact like a swarm of fiery hornets stinging his abdomen as the remaining bot fires its shotgun. Dropping to one knee, Mike gets a lucky headshot on the bot before it can fire again. Turning to cover John, Jackson leaves the remaining pair of bots in the hands of Jet and D. Upon reaching John, he takes the medkit and starts to work on John. "Hol' still. Yer handlin' the pain well, but if ya so much as flinch, ya might screw yourself up more. John breathes in and holds utterly still as Jackson uses steel tweezers to extract the buckshot fragments. A few wipes with an antiseptic pad and a roll of bandages later, and John is patched up. "Right. Yer gonna have to take it easy on that leg- no runnin', jumpin', kickin'. Lucky for you, looks like that shot missed yer femoral artery.
