After getting to the clearing, Barker practically collapses. He's pretty worn out from the whole fiasco these past few days.

Game Events
It is about 6pm. The sun is getting glare-y as it starts to set.

Vladimir strides away from Kyle and enters the Swamp. The ground quickly changes from the slightly soft earth back in the Battleground to a squishy, wet half-earth-half-mud, and then to a sucking, water-logged, barely-earth-anymore terrain. There are many trees around, except their foliage is on the upper-branches only - the trucks are quite bare and skeletal. Directly ahead of him the ground falls away in favour of a Small lake. The surface of this lake looks almost like the surrounding earth, except for the fact that it ripples and waves every so often. This place gives a sense of fear or dread, like there are dangerous things just hidden from view but watching him.

Find the Fabled Tree - through the swamp and past the mountain ridge.

Yomanticore, you should have some medics show up sometime soon so I can use my superstrength implants soon enough. Also, when will my holey foot heal up, do ya figure?
Continue on my way. Just for this turn only, use Cybernetic Enhancements to rush on ahead. Also, draw my knife and be prepared to slice any swamp life.

Game Events
It is about 6pm. The sun is getting glare-y as it starts to set.

Vlad makes it about half-way around the first lake before a loud, low growl stop him in his tracks. He glances at the lake to see a few rotten logs and lilies moving about like something has disturbed the water underneath.
Then he realises.
Those logs and lilies aren't only just floating plant life - they're part of something much larger. Something scaly, floating and very territorial - the Giant Mutant Swamp-Gator.
The 20ft long Gator roars, and the fetid wind blasts over a coughing Vlad.

The other rollers hear the roar and wonder what it could be.

CURRENT SUB / OBJECTIVES:
Defeat the Gator!
Find the Fabled Tree - through the swamp and past the mountain ridge.

NOTES ABOUT THE SWAMP: Green are paths, teal-ish are lakes, mountain ridge is to the west.
