Re: THIS, or Thaaaat?
F-35, the F-22 had that oxygen valve issue. That, and the F-22 was effectively replaced for the F-35.

A-10 Thunderbolt (Same as the A-10 Warthog, except Warthog is a nickname) . The tank killing GAU-8 Avenger is almost the same size as my car. Su-47 or F-35 Lightning? Forward swept wings. Woo.

Well, while planes have larger ordinance, copters are easier to use lethally. Planes take lots of skill as you go fast - leading bomb drops, maneuvering out of the way after firing, etc. Copters don't move fast enough for those issues. Traditional, original, uncleaned blackpowder M16 or more modern versions such as the A4? If more modern, M16. Otherwise AK.

Terraria. Bombsights, man, ever heard of them? In addition to them, nowadays the bombs are pretty much smart enough to guide ♥♥♥♥. And choppers are way easier to shoot down due to being less mobile. Chivalry: Medieval Warfare or Age of Chivalry?

Helicopters are much more sensitive to adjustments in control, and you have to think three dimensionally to be able to fly one properly. Not only that, but the ordnance on a helicopter requires you get very close to enemy forces on the ground (helicopters like the Apache, for example, lack useful air to air weaponry) incomparison to, say, the Sidewinder missile (which is close range) which remains useful at .6 to 22 miles. But that's an unfair comparison. In comparison to say, an A10 Thunderbolt II, which is intended for the same role as a number of helicopters, close ground support. For the most part, it's GAU-8 is very, very nasty. It's also very accurate. It can place most of it's fire with in 10 or so meters of the target. It also comes with the AGM-65 Maverick missile, which has a range of 14 miles. TLDR; It's usually a smart idea to pick a plane over a helicopter. Most reasons a helicopter is used instead of a plane is because they are cheap and consume less fuel and you are close enough to a base to be able to use one effectively. That, and they can get pretty close to the ground for dumb weaponry like rockets (Also cheap) to be effective. They are also pretty good at precision fire. Natti is right. Most bombs nowadays are laser guided, or have pretty clever onboard systems to allow for precision attacks, even in urban environments. Shoulder mounted missile launchers are getting more and more effective aswell, so the helicopter may have a troubled future. Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. Because Criken. Miggles or Mackeral. hohohoh ain't I the evil devil.
