Guys, so sorry about this since the actions have been up since Sunday, but I'm not going to be able to roll tonight. I ended up having to do unexpectedly do more school stuff yesterday and I spent most of today handling a family issue, right now I'm feeling quite drained and not at all in the mood for creative writing. "Hey John might want to check the other side room, if you're after sniping gear," Aicaya recommends. Heeding this advice, John hightails it to the western side room and looks inside to find it very similar to the eastern- rows of prototype bots, ammo and weapon lockers lining the walls. He starts flicking open lockers to find that most of the stuff is unusable to him- either giant swords, shields, or sniper rifles, although he does find three pairs of UXPDWs very similar to the ones looted by D off of the Striker. "Hm, I could use those, I guess. But what I'm really looking for is... there!" Like a little kid on Christmas morning, John's eyes light up and his face transforms from an expressionless goatee to the image of pure delight. Inside the locker is an early Marksman weapon: A compact, lightweight sniper rifle that is not only easily carried by a human, but does not require an external power source. "SQUEE." He picks it up and inspects it. The rifle is arranged in a bullpup configuration, allowing for a relatively long barrel and high-caliber rounds while keeping the overall size manageable. Like many of the other Utataku weapons, the color scheme is primarily white and silver, although there are also blue stripes here and there. There's no grip or bi-pod, but a muzzle brake at the end of the barrel probably does a good job of managing recoil by itself. A fairly large scope on top of the rifle, silver body with a light-blue lens, has a variable zoom function that lets it go from a 4x magnification up to a 12x, and it has a thermal imaging mode. The ammo magazine in the back of the rifle contains ten rounds, which seem larger than the ones used in John's own TK101. "Bleh. Guess I can't transfer ammo." John soon realizes this unnecessary- right under the rifle are 4 loaded magazines. Leaving his Barrett and its ammo tucked on a shelf with the intent to later retrieve it upon leaving, John is soon the proud wielder of the UXAMR! In his excitement over the rifle, John's almost totally forgotten about the UXPDWs. "Hm. Aicaya walks out of the room and towards the blast door where Jackson is waiting. Jet's there, too, and the two of them seem to have finished an argument of some kind- Jet's frowning and Jackson has a look of annoyance on his face. Puh. Boys. Probably arguing over money. Ignoring them, Aicaya takes a peek through the hole in the blast door. She gapes at what she sees- the next room contains a large mecha in the center, standing at least 10 meters tall and emblazoned with "UXPMS". Bristling with Vulcan cannons, missile pods, and even lasers here and there, the very sight of the mecha brings Aicaya close to wetting herself. Then she notices something rather reassuring- the mecha is in a position as though it had been activated, or been starting to activate, yet there's a mess of tangled wires and broken armor through its abdomen. She also notices scraps of metal on top of the "head" of the mecha, where a pilot or control unit would have been. D walks over to the left room, following John, and examines the weapons within. It's nearly identical to the first- robots in the middle, weapon and ammo lockers along the walls. He takes a quick look through the gear. All of the Guardian weapons- shields and swords- are way too big to even consider wielding. The Marksman weapons seem to all be huge or require an external power source, although John finds a man-portable bullpup rifle with internal power and squeals with delight, and Mike picks up a new rifle of his own.
