Re: Roll to Dodge - Illusia
I'm in a bit of a dilemma.
You see, HEN has not posted his move, and this is the third round that he has been absent.
In normal cirumstances, I would kick him, but we do not have anyone on the waiting list.
I have already PMed him (quite a few days ago) and gotten no response as of yet. What do you guys think I should do?

Kick him and just wait for another person.
Or just roll without him.

Sign me up. Hyper, hope you don't mind me using your character sheet as a template. Name: Anderson Appearance: Medium height with a large muscular build. Black hair, brown eyes. Occupation: Blacksmith Inventory: - Hammer - Larger then normal Hammer Passive ability: Metal Worker : +1 to working metals at smith. Back story: Anderson was the son of a blacksmith, who was also the son of a blacksmith, who was also the son of a blacksmith. He learned the family business from the time he could lift the hammer to work metal, and knows a lot about forging items from metal. Unlike his predecessors however, he yearned for adventure, tired of seeing the boring and common looks of the blacksmith.

Another blacksmith? Well, we do have two stealthy characters, so I guess it won't be too weird. Plus, we could make some seriously-badass stuff together.

Re: Roll to Dodge - Illusia
Okay guys. That works great. I'll copy your character sheet to my Word Document and I'll have the round up tomorrow, since I'm too busy to post it all today. I literally had about 10 minutes of free time, most of which I have spent changing clothes to get ready to go somewhere else or eating a snack.
So, yeah. Tomorrow.

Re: Roll to Dodge - Illusia
It is 9 AM right now. As promised, here are the rolls!
Torrent (6)
The snakes move first. One of them flicks its tongue out and then turns in your direction. Odd. It doesn't seem to be looking at you with its eyes... That doesn't keep it from lunging at you. (5 v. 1) Its jaws are already upon you before you can move, and you feel a chill go through your body as its teeth meet with your neck. You feel like screaming aloud, but you can't make a sound. (Willpower Save = 4) In the midst of this, anger rushes through you, eliminating the drowsying affect you were experiencing. You ready your knife above your head, calling upon your Glyph powers. Your arm glows a soft white, and you lash forward at the one that attacked you. (6 v. 4) It barely avoids the attack, leaning backwards as your dagger reaches an inch from its throat. It retreats back a safe distance.
You feel for the wound at your throat, and find the marks of the triple-fanged snake bite. You're lucky those fangs weren't any longer. A clear liquid oozes out from the wound as your body attempts to expel it. You suddenly feel very tired.
Inv. [4] -Hip Flask [2] Eq. -Dagger [2] P-Abilities -Sleight of Hand (+1 to dexterity) A-Abilities -Force Imbuement Status -Lower Torso - Shot (Bandaged) -Neck - Snake Bite (-1 to rolls, unconscious in 3 turns, dead in 5)
CaveCricket (4)
You stick to the back of the group, letting the others handle the onslaught. Then Gillian goes and gets himself seriously wounded.
What horrible luck. You rush forward to help him, and see the snake that bit him, still unharmed. But then you realize, "Uh, snakes don't have legs. These aren't snakes." (Intelligence roll = 4) Hey. These things have legs. They probably wouldn't function too well without 'em.
Inv. [13] -Shortsword [3] -Dan's Black Powder Rifle (Unloaded) [4] -Dagger [2] Eq. -Nikolai's Longsword [4] P-Ablities -Stealthy (+1 to sneak) A-Abilities -None Status -None
Adam (6)
You reignite the dagger and jump once more at a snake, going for the head. (6 v. 3) The snake fails to dodge your red-hot weapon, and the blade slides easily though its neck, instantly cauterizing the wound. The snake makes what sounds like a cough, then falls dead to the ground. Another one takes its place all too quickly and lashes its long tail at you. (6 v. 4) It misses by a hair's breadth, skimming your lower body, dangerously close.
Inv. [6] -None Eq. -Knife w/ Knuckled Handguard [2] -Chainmail [4] P-Ablities -Fist Fighter (+1 hand to hand combat) A-Abilities -Burning Touch Status -None
Ociamarru (4)
You dive into the battle with your claws ready, and slash-stab at one of the snakes easily with your light armor. (4 v. 5) Yet still, the snakes manage to avoid every attack you launch at them. There's got to be a way to slow these freaks down! While you're thinking, a second enemy dives at you from the side. (6 v. 5) You leap out the way, just in time for it to miss you and hit the ground, flat on its belly. (Attack chance = 6) You take another swing at it while it is down, (4 v. 1) and your claws strike home, landing squarely on its back. It crumples into a heap without any more punishment. Apparently, these things have a low tolerance for pain.
Inv. [7] -Hammer [3] Eq. -Badass Wolf Gear w/ claws (Primal Beast Power) [4] P-Abilities -Expert Craftmanship (+1 to metalwork) A-Abilities -None Status -None
Tokochiro (6)
You keep running. RUN AWAY THOSE THINGS ARE SCARY HELP MEEEEE! You reach the top of the stairs you went down, and turn back towards the great hall. Oh noes.
It's infested with more of them. More snakes. Way more than there were in the passage.
HELP.
Inv. [4] -Bandage (1) [1] Eq. -Nunchuck Cane [3] P-Abilities -Helping Hand (+1 to assisting friends) A-Abilities -Fast Regeneration Status -None
Caekdaemon (-)
You feel as if suddenly, you are in a position that someone else should have been in. What is going on? Your question is immediately answered inside your head. The party of the Chosen Six is fighting for their lives in this tunnel. How do you know that?
Inv. -Small Hammer (2) -Large Hammer (4) Eq. -Nothing P-Abilities -Metal Worker (+1 to metalcraft) A-Abilities -None Status -Nothing
Two snakes remain. The one that bit Gillian, and the one that almost whipped Adam.

"Well newcomer, we are headed northeast of these mountains to a place called Auid. We are searching for a note, which will lead us to the next note and so on. When we find them all, we save the word. Currently though, we are killing snakes. What is your name?" >Hack the snakes tail off if it whips at me again. Otherwise, slice it's legs off

Suck out that poison from the wound. That sounds kinda primal-beasty I guess. And preservation of allies is a must.
