If you don't mind me making a suggestion, I'd recommend sending your can interceptors around to inspect the damage, or even shoot at the critters.

Not the same as what I said though. I'll save the enemy who is more like myself, so I can destroy them later, disposing of a greater threat.

Or letting my enemies soften each other up, mutually destroying one another, then swoop in and conquer them both.

Kinda like this trope maybe?

I did that kind of stuff on Civilization 4 when I was playing it online.

I had a poor starting location, mostly desert, so I pointed people against one another. They wore each other down, but none of them noticed that I was building enormous death stacks of units until I crossed the border of the guy to the south of me, conquering most of his nation before he could bring his units back from the front line, but since he was at war, he had to choose who to lose to. Within a hundred turns, I had united the continent under my rule, ready to go find the rest of the players on the other continent.

God I am evil sometimes.

EDIT : How many of my 12 frigates are done? It says 5, but some might be almost done, and I think some construction progress may have been lost between rolls.

Get SciCorp to continue working on those projects.
SciCorp expands their reasearch in the existance of biological craft with more theories they announce that it would be entirely possible. A full report is created outlining how the basic biological systems of something to exist in space would work.

Genetic Engineering research continues with breakthroughs being made in chemical stiumlants and medicines administerable by vapor. Genetic enginering can be done, however it is taking longer to develop a virus capable of rewriting someones DNA without causing permanant damage. or death.

Embark the crews on to the new frigates that had their weaponry installed.
The next batch of Frigates leave the station with an extra 3 being produced ahead of schedule. the next batch is allready underway.

Expand the orbital starbase with more shipyard bays.
Engineering on the orbital shipyard produces two additional bays, now four bays, two pairs back to back.

Get a small branch of SciCorp to try and study a way to copy human memories.
A small team, PsyCorp begin their work recording brainwaves in attempts to replay them, studying frequencies and noting what reflexes trigger what waves.

Contract a cyber security firm to develop a firewall and antivirus suite for protection from the Haywire's ECM.
Records of the Haywires viruses are tested and initial results are collected for research into anti virus suites.

Send a volunteer group of doctors in hazard suits to help our brothers at Gehenna. Bring some relief supplies to help them out.
A volunteer group of doctors heads to to Gehenna aboard one of the trading vessels and begin help treat what colonists they can, meeting with gehennan scientists the dour mood is amplified by the recent turn of events.

Jump gate designing?
SciCorp still has the jumpgate project listed as WiP however all resources are diverted elsewhere. The main jumpgate modules are complete only the remaining power issues need to be solved.

Gehenna

Continue further efforts to suppress UV light. Manufacture "blackout suits" that block UV light and prevent the bugs from spreading, and make all infected personnel wear the suits for their own safety and the safety of others. Educate the populace on the dangers of this new parasite to promote compliance.
Public educations of the disease begins, promoting a clean gehenna, one dedicated to the protection of its own people and for them to protect themselves in the comming time.
The arrival of Canis scientists is welcomed with little talks but those that happen are watched by the vast majority of Gehennan citizens.

Continue work on molecular-scale metal breakdown and refinement. We need more ships, faster!
Moleculal level breakdown, reducing the rocks into a 99.8% pure state has been a success. Use of Saatanium from purified heavy metals along with the acid compounds has worked perfectly. Plans are prepared for implimentation a new series of refineries will need to be constructed as the current heat amplification can cause violent reactions with saatanium.

Speaking of which, am I currently building a Haywire? And what Haywire variant did the terrorists manage to steal?\
The prototype, the first one that was only half finished. however they did manage to steal the 3 viruses.
So no probe drones, no directional emp weapon. Only radar jamming, viruses and EM chaff. atleast thats what they stole.

Educational reformes are put into place and Gehennans educational systems are accellerated. "our children, the true sons of gehenna" (+1 science!)

The nose section is permanantly seald off, blast doors are welded closed and via Can those stranded in the cockpit area are evacuated into the main body of the ship.
The can's flyby shows the light patching done to the craft some scorchmarks still show from where the impact burnt the paint off the colony ship.

Research anti-rad medicines
anti radiation medicine begins as a focus of the colonies science department. with the colony growing and moving. Current testing shows little to no resiiliance when administed however scientists assure you they are close to a soloution.


Stationem XXVI

Gehennan acids are refined into stronger varants however some of the acids potency is lost as the purified samples appear to be a gasseous form at room temperature and climate controlled storage is arranged for the purified acids.

The construction of the nuclearplant is a simple affiar and a small ammount of fissile material is taken from the main reactor and used to start the asteroids reactor.

Reserach into teleportation sciences begins however little is known about the subject to begin with and scientists are having to start from square one. Amidst numerous resource requests are requests for new equipment designed to deal with the task ot teleportation and the request to fund a science meeting with other colonies to discuss the matter.

Klik'Tar


Have the Khan Interceptor's be piloted by a Klik'Tar, getting fed information from the Mind, fly around looking for anything of interest eg landmass, other planet's.
Otherlandmass on the planet is limited to the polar regions where icefloes make up small landmasses. though the warmpth of the ocean tends to keep most of them small.
as the Khan exists the atmosphere the alien colony ship can still be seen orbiting the planet. the minds aboard it still working against their sealed sections with what tools they have at their disposal
Other nearby stars can also be seen. the Khan could make it over there slow boat style.

Have the infected fish infect other fish, having those ones infect others, Pandemic style
the green haze in the water continues to expand, encompassing a large area, swallowing anything and everythign in its path.

Hmmm... Continue to try and piece together any sort of stuff on the corvette that could come in handy.
Security rooms are raided and weapons are recovered. The ships weapons are mostly intert however the nose units still show readyness. they wont beable to fire without more power but they could be removed and placed onto other craft.

Verigon

Make refineries.
Construction of an enlarged refinery begins on the ground floor. expanding off of the current refinery. Work progresses well and the first refinery is fired up and ready to accept raw metals.

Make science lab underneath the main capitol building.
Verigon labs occupies the former engine area and below. the high power conduits in the engine housings proove to be very useful in setting up the advanced equipment. A number of Verigon scientists group together and begin to set out research stations. (+1 science)

Approve request for level 2 or below citizens to be used for testing, give a monetary incentive. Continue researching memory implanting.
with new access to science facilities the scientists hit upon a vital moment. In hours of surgery and nearly a whole turn in recovery Verigon scientists attempt the first memory chip graft to a human subject. Neural interfaces allow read and write capabilities from the brain into specially modified chipsets.

First tests are a success. with the patient being able to access between 30-70% of the recorded memories neural mapping subjects to like subjects can maximise the ammount of memeory that can be recalled.

Special operative 1 continues training. schools of everything from martial arts to information gathering are studied and his skills grow with each passing turn.

Continue writing The Magnus
with the first chapter of the Magus complete the second on its way to printing the third. "Vrigon rising" begins. all around the colony people read the Magusthe ideals it teaches being learnt by every colonist.

TITAN Automated Industries Hiveship Sigma

Construction begins when the planets orbit brings it back into the cold side. The dozer is deployed to a open area, a town center or part, now reduced to rubble and trash. The part warehouse part heatproof bunker is constructed. Though not habitable to humans it shoudl keep the worst of the heat away.

During salavage of a building a ground car is extracted from the ground level, a strong source of metal however during the extraction the foundations of the building are dislodged and the salvage bot is pinned under wreckage.

Continue the science. Both SciCorp and PsyCorp

Order the starship design bureau to start designing a Leviathan, a ship the size of three dreadnoughts, equipped with the LOAD/ADW system. Give it a command and control system.

Start construction of a enormous dry dock in orbit.

Put out another contract for the private sector to develop a new energy weapon for star ships.

Jump gate design?

Jump gates don't have much love, unfortunately. Some projects are far more important right now.
