The missile pod is clearly empty, but there's no cables or anything hooked up to the cannons, so you figure they must have finished recalibrating em. And hey, there's even a cart parked in front of it! It looks like the enemies aren't really attacking, more of waiting for someone to come out from behind cover so that they can shoot them. Aark wonders why the one with the bigass cannon doesn't just shoot through the cover that they're hiding behind. He's certainly got enough gun to do so. I'll whip up a map for the top of the Exoneration in a second.Shitty map is go.

Whut? Caek, you need to have a real pilot.
Glowstick, a few things. Your EM Combat Rifle IS a railgun. The shoulder mounted rail cannon, ok. The virus it launches, not gonna happen. So many reasons it won't work. So, so many.

Yeah basically. Albeit with a fancy name. I was thinking somewhere along the lines of using a magnet system to propel stuff Machine-gun esque, but without the piercing power of a standard railgun. Essentially a magnetic assault rifle. if thats uncool I'll just make it a rifle of some-sort. Alright, Thats fine with me. Can I buff the shoulder a little if the virus needs to go? Explosive rounds maybe?

Grah. I don't think you guys understand the concept of railguns properly. They are meant to hit ♥♥♥♥ hard, once. It takes a ridiculous amount of electricity to fire even a smaller projectile, but it fires it very ♥♥♥♥ fast, making up for the smaller projectile size with speed (higher speed combined with smaller surface area also means more penetration). You don't make a full automatic, 600 RPM rail-machinegun, you make a single action 6 RPM Rail-Sniper Rifle. Heat is also a major problem for railguns, so using them multiple times in succession could literally cause the rails to melt.
TL;DR if you want a gun that goes ratatatata, just get a goddamn gun. If you want the best sniper rifle in the world, get a railgun. Otherwise, just get a gun. /rant

Haha I understand how railguns work, I just wasn't sure what the exact tech limitations are considering were driving miniaturized fusion reactors. But sniper rifles fine with me, whatever works .

Do you not realize the inherent silliness of everyone else having pilots and you having a robot? The reason a pilot would be necessarily is because remote control and AI aren't sufficiently advanced yet. ♥♥♥♥ A. Let's rock some ♥♥♥♥. Hop up into my Mecha. Run diagnostics after booting to make sure my railguns are properly calibrated.
