Val leads the way to the southern exit of the city and you follow her, but Somni runs off. When you get to the bridge, he's behind you again but carrying a backpack. At the other side of the bridge is a man in blood-stained clothes and a male Chirop wearing greaves and a sleevless black vest. The Chirop has a longsword on his back and a dagger sheathed on his waist.

The chirop looks up at you -

"Ah, the mysterious traveller arrives. About time. We require more assistance than there are willing hands."

"So what now?"

The man in the bloodied clothing, who you see is Kark, responds -

"The western coasts are secure for now, we should figure out what's going on with Caelum."
"Off to Vranhal then?"
"So it seems."

The group starts to head south and you follow. Somni is walking beside you, his head low.

"What should I say?"

> You hand the gem to the mage and walk up to the fireplace. It isn't hot at all, so you crawl in and start climbing up the convenient hand-hold-like crevices in the brick.

After a bit of climbing, you reach a larger horizontal tunnel. The air is hot and stuffy, but you can feel it moving to the left, which you follow. Minutes pass until the tunnel sharply turns upwards, leading to a metal grate.
