Instead, your sword flings itself forward with you still attached to it, and the blade implants itself into the wall behind the soldier.

Kicking yourself off of the wall, you land on the ground ungracefully and scurry behind a building. Peaking around the corner, you see something that looks like a black dragon a bit taller than a human with chains binding its arms, wings, and mouth. Behind the dragon is a giant, bipedal wolf, dressed in robes and holding a staff in hand.

"Attack!"

A dark orb appears in front of the dragon's snout, and it flies into an unseen target behind a building.

You swing Whirlwind below you as the brute brings up its massive arms to protect itself and your halberd's axe head is embedded into the arm.

Now with your weapon acting as a pivoting joint, your momentum forces your legs to slam into the brute's head and knock it to the ground and you jump off safely. THe thing is still alive, but stunned.

Before you could think of how to create such a thing, your chest burns as a blade slices across your flesh. The wound isn't fatal, but it hurts like hell. The revenant is right in front of you and slashes again, but you jump back just in time to avoid the second strike.

Then, something hits the enemy from the north, blasting it apart and sending bits of dark energy and gore to the south.
