Alaris sighs as best as a dragon can as CM laughs.

"...We're at a stalemate. Neither myself or CM can take the decisive advantage. Hence why his shield could hold me down. There is still a power difference between the two of us, but he's pulling on the power of the Ancient Ones to make up the rest."

They won't let you stop me, Alaris. You can't stop the winds of fate.

"That's the very reason I tried to kill you and your companions."

Isariaz steps forward, his helmet under his arm and his blade sheathed. "And why I came here. I was on the hunt for some of CM's agents in the area. Turns out, they were you." He frowns. "A tragic error in judgement since it got so many innocent people killed."

Ben spits on the floor in anger at Isariaz. "A tragedy? You slaughtered my men! People who fought in the Great Campaign with me!"

"You kill dozens of innocents and you call that a tragedy? Boy, you haven't even begun to make amends." says Ben with vengeance in his heart as he lifts his warhammer.


"Then allow me to apologise for us getting off on the wrong foot. Everyone on Traxis is in this fight together."


Alaris laughs as CM fumes in anger. "You couldn't be more correct if you tried."

"The reason I'm offering you a chance to join up is because you all have the spine to fight me rather than run. Even if I came with benevolence first, people would've ran in fear merely at the sound of my sonic boom breaking. Yet you six chose to remain, to fight my Herald even though you could've simply ran."

"I'll break each point down, though. Joining one side or the other would shield you from the other side attempting to make mental communication from you. Think of a man with a shield covering his comrades to stop them getting hit by arrows. As for the threatening and the fight, notice that your friend is still alive despite all odds. It's not that he's not been fatally wounded, he very much was. I'm holding him on to life for the most part."

I could do the same if you join me. I can shield you from Alaris' heretical whispers just as I can maintain the Elf's life force.

"Speaking of your Elven friend, I shall awaken him so he can make a choice, too."

Through Orange's and the Bitter's sight, the beam between Alaris and Amras strengthens. Amras staggers to his feet, a hole still in his stomach.

"As for the count down till your complete destruction earlier, well, how do you treat the people you believe to be your enemies? An enemy who wishes to bring an ancient enemy back from their prison and is willing to kill millions to do so?"

That's an exaggeration. Quite clearly. Little blood has to be spilt to bring the Ancient Ones into the Material Universe. Merely some preparation.

Just so you know, I've been more or less consistent since the beginning of our lovely adventure.

I don't know what *that* thing was. I think it's older than I am! But I'm usually good at detecting lies. I don't sense any deceit from either Alaris or that CM. Alaris is definitely being truthful, remember I walked Traxis at the same time as the Dragon Wars. From what I remember he ran a pretty peaceful country, one which united with the one to the south peacefully. That continent should actually be the Divided Lands if I remember correctly. Pretty interesting stuff, you should ask him eventually.

In my opinion, I gotta go with Alaris. If he really does have three hundred thousand men arriving on the continent, then he should be all set for a war. He's the Dragon of Death, so I think every last single casualty is felt by him. I can't even imagine what that feels like. But it tells me that he won't throw away lives needlessly, something I can't tell about that CM fellow. But I don't think CM particularly cares. He hasn't spoke much so I think he has an ace card. He's not even here, either. How is he talking?

I've got a bad feeling about this.


Isariaz laughs as Alaris speaks. Unlike earlier with the countdown, his voice is friendly. "Then I hope that perhaps one day you will consider me no longer a threat."

Isariaz smiles and throws you something. He says, "Consider that an apology for trying to kill you, then." You catch it. It's a bottle of some kind of beverage. "Try not to drink it all in one go."

You find a label on the bottle. It reads, Skori Spiced-Wine. You turn the bottle and find the year it was brewed. You whistle when you find the number, the booze inside being three hundred years old. It suggests to heat before drinking. This is some extraordinarily expensive stuff, the kind of drink a king would have.

And now, it's yours.

"If you mean the reason the entire planet actually exists, then you are correct. Without our action, the sentient races would've never came to power and it would be a very, very different world you would be standing on."
He's not lying, you know. Alaris and the other five elemental dragons fought the Ancient Ones and drove them from the physical plane. Exactly why I am trying to bring them back, so the universe can be restored to it's intended design.

Lorepost is coming, it should clarify things for those who aren't familiar with the planned RtD Dragonflight.

I don't need you guys anyway! Alaris isn't the only one with an army!



"A good thing you never trusted CM. He'd have stabbed you in the back the moment he got the chance. As for healing you, one moment."
He grabs the Orb of Entropy and puts his hand into it and pulls out some of the energy which reforms into a ball. He alters it, then throws it at you. You don't even have the time to even think of dodging it before it hits your stomach. It turns into a cloud of black smoke and you hear the wierdest popping sound. When the smoke dissipates, the hole is gone. You're relieved, because the wind blowing on your entrails was the strangest sensation imaginable. Isariaz walks over says, "Sorry about trying to kill you. Though wait till you meet Team Alpha, they're the best soldiers out there."

I'll make the offer again later when you know more of me. For now, I'm going to hold my cards close to my chest.
