EVENTS:

The group decides to sneak through, squeezing themselves against the wall opposite to the engineer zombie. Thankfully, it does not turn around or respond to noises, even when Peggy and Emilia limp by it. It is still waiting for the elevator when you turn around the next bend in the corridor.

The souther wing is huge and sprawling. Through several more windowed doors, you see all sorts of facilities.

Tanneries, seeping pungent fluids and emanating the pervasive smell of ammonia. Holding tanks for all sorts of organic substances. Surgery rooms, where zombies have their jaws removed and mouths sewn shut. Huge warehouses filled with hammer-wielding undead, slowly grinding bones into fertilizer. Organic lift shafts, in which rows upon rows of arms quickly carry metal crates up and down. Mess halls, with masses of zombies entering and leaving to receive their rations of injected offal.

After walking for a while, the party reaches what seems like a dead end. A large, barred metal door blocks the end of the corridor. You hear loud bangs coming from it, as well as something squealing and roaring.

Eigla approaches the door. There's a small gap between it and the wall, and she attempts to look through it-

*CRUNCH*

Something slams against the door from the other side, deforming the thick metal and nearly blowing it off its hinges! It doesn't seem like it'll hold out for much longer!

EVENTS:

Eigla holds the door closed while Rosa unholsters her pistol and Klimt transforms his arms into snakes. Peggy, Emilia and Curie take cover inside one of the nearby storerooms.

A few seconds later, barely able to stop whatever it is from breaking through the barrier, Eigla steps aside and lets it pass. The door flings outwards, being completely torn off its hinges as a gigantic, deformed boar charges through it, suddenly tripping and falling over as something holds its back. A large, biomechanical tentacle seems to be attached to the beast's spine, acting as a leash of sorts, and multiple zombies are holding on to its pelt, poking it with prods and knives.

The gigaboar quickly gets back on its feet, continuing to charge forwards and ripping off the leash in an explosion of blood, revealing its yard-long needle-like tip. The mechatentacle writhes around on the floor, before pointing itself at you in blind malevolence. Similarly, the boar sees you blocking its path, and bares its humungous tusks.

At the end, use space AP to sword anything in range. If there's a lone unspent AP left, Spine it.

BATTLE:




Before Eigla even has time to react, the mechatentacle launches itself at her, impaling her through the throat with its giant needle! The creature attaches itself deeply, and neither Rosa's bullets nor Klimt's frantic flaying can dislodge it. Eigla feels something tugging at her mind, ordering her to stay put and stop resisting. The giant boar squeals, then begins to charge at her with its greatsword-sized tusks.

Tch.

Eigla calmly regenerates her hand and steps back, pushing the tentacle away while entangling the boar's legs with her Flesh. The pig trips and slides, slamming onto the tentacle and throwing off zombies in every direction. She then unseathes her sword.

One cut, to skin the beast.

Two cuts, to remove its entrails and organs.

Three cuts, to dice the snake into a dozen small pieces.

SECRET ZOMBIE JUTSU: PORK ROAST AND NOODLES


Eigla cleans the blood off her sword and sheathes it once again. She doesn't notice one of her enemies is not quite dead yet. The mechatentacle's needle-tipped head turns to face her, then launches itself in her direction, aiming straight for the head-

*SPLURT*

You are all peppered with bone and metal fragments. The mechatentacle lies unmoving, being held in the air by several tendrils, which then constrict around it until nothing remains. Darkness enfolds you, then the surroundings begin to glow faintly red.

...Where are you? There's the boar carcass, and a few confused zombies, and large fragments of metal, like something ripped the walls and floor straight off the building, but they're - in fact, *everything* is - covered in writhing tendrils of varying sizes. Also, where did Klimt go?

Actually, also remove a lung or two and regenerate that, I can use it to fix up Emilia's.

EVENTS:

Rosa: "Klimt. You can stop now. It's dead. It's dead forever."

No response. Rosa proceeds to remove most of her internal organs, replacing them with a fresh set from her coffin. Some of the new ones look a bit... Different, but they fit in nonetheless. She finishes suturing up her torso and stores the spares in her rucksack, for Emilia.

Eigla regenerates her destroyed throat, and pops in a new jaw from her coffin. Looking around, she sees she's in an organic room roughly the same size as the hallway, except... Well, organic. The area seems to be slowly expanding, absorbing nearby bodies and walls and doors. She sees Curie hanging from a wall, half-submerged in its tentacular flesh.

Curie: "Unit requests assistance. Unable to dislodge itself."
