You lead the party into the city with Darla by your side, heading up the south road into Vranhal's center, which is looking a bit better than last time you were here, and then head west.

As you exit the city's center and take the road crossing the grassy plain filled with cottages and farms, you see an ironworks situated by a canal. Vattii and Tara are just oustide, talking, and it doesn't take long to cross the distance and meet up with them.

Atra walks ahead of you, reaching Tara first and falling into her with a hug.

Vattii: "My master's weapons cannot be repaired through ordinary metalworking techniques. The metal itself is carefully shaped at a miniscule scale to allow channeling of energy in patterns that support the spells that the weapon is designed for.
Atra will have to be remade from scratch, and the gemstone transferred."

You're not really sure how to put out the fire, so you grab some water from below, turn it into a mass of ice, and block the doorway.

Well, the fire isn't consuming air from your room anymore, but it still feels difficult to breath, and the fire is still burning on the other side of the ice wall.

"Do we have anyone who can do that here?"

Tara: "I can forge metal, but not anything like that."

Vattii: "I lack metal working skills completely. Hrmm."

There's a bit of silence as they think.

Blizzard: "What if we made it out of ice?"

Everyone gives Blizzard a blank look as he pulls out his ice sword.

Blizzard: "I can form a near-perfect copy of my sword using ice, down to the energy channels. Obviously more fragile than the real thing, but it works."

Tara: "It seems a bit temporary."

He gives a shrug as he puts away the ice sword.

Vattii: "I could place an enchantment that allows Atra to form the sword the same way it does with armor, but the gemstone will still need a new mount."


Darla tugs at your arm, but her head is still lowered.

"Mm. Cmon, to the medical tent. Nothing I can really add to this conversation anyway..."

You head back to the southern road with Darla, where there's a gathering of white tents off to the side. All of the tents are the same size except for one, which is larger than all the others, and where you remember Karina was, so you decide to head over and knock on a support post.

Karina: "Yeah, come in."

The two of you head inside, and the inside of the tent looks the same last time you were here.

Bed-table thing in the middle, tables of chemicals in the back and to the sides. There are chairs now, though.

Karina: "Oi, it's you again. I guess you want me to look at her."

Darla walks over to Karina while you take a seat, looking away as Karina throws off the mage cloak.

Don't remember when I last slept. Mrrr.
...Naomi, how do you feel about Darla?

Naomi: She seems quite young and inexperienced. I wouldn't trust her as an ally if she puts her safety above everyone else's.

But that's what you think of her. How do you feel about her? Seeing as she fought Blizzard and broke Atra and all.

You get something that feels like a shrug.

Naomi: She feels dangerous, I guess.

To the guardsmen (assuming they're still there): "Where do you need the most help with the enemy?"

Roast you're still at Venari. Go help rescue the lupus in the sewers, be a Big Damn Hero.
