"You...
...
Alright. Take a deep breath, calm down, and explain what you mean.
I won't yell, I won't get angry, but I need to know what happened. With you, with Blizzard and Kyros, and with Atra."

She takes in a deep breath, exhales, and takes a few more deep breaths before speaking.

Darla: "When all of... This, happened, I turned sick, with that corrupted magic or whatever. I wasn't supposed to live long. I was resting in the cottage when I felt someone in my mind, she told me that she could give me something - a necklace - that would keep me alive and well, if I did something for her.

She said that I had to find and destroy Blizzard, and gave me magic greaves, a helm, and a sword to do it, left them at the door. I found Blizzard in a chirop city and tried to take him out, but when I was around him all of the weapons were weakened. The chirop here, Kyros I guess, cut off my right arm, and I ran off for a bit, before trying to attack again, but I wasn't strong enough. I dropped the sword too, and ran off again.

The person was in my mind again, and said that I failed, but Blizzard was stronger than she thought, too. She said if I managed to find and destroy Atra, I could keep the necklace. If not, she would take it back.

Well, I did it. I found Atra in Venari. The greaves and helm weren't weakened like when I was around Blizzard, and we fought for a while before I shattered Atra's blade. That counted as destroying, so I left and ran around a bit to make sure none of those lupus were following me before I went back to the cottage. The person told me to leave the greaves and helm outside the door, and that I did a good job, and I could keep the necklace.

I went inside to sleep, and you found me some time later."

With her story finished, she looks at the ground, waiting, looking like a child waiting to be punished.

Naomi, can we fix this?
"Torrent, Blizzard. How repairable are magic weapons? Also, which of you chirop is the fastest flier?"

Naomi, can we fix this?

Naomi: I don't know...

"Torrent, Blizzard. How repairable are magic weapons? Also, which of you chirop is the fastest flier?"

Blizzard: "... They're repairable if you have a skilled enough metal smith and enchanter. Vatti would qualify as an enchanter, I don't know where we're going to get a master smith though."

Only two of the chirop seem capable of flight - Kyros, and a green-robed mage chirop, the latter giving you a shrug. There's also the green dragon, large enough to carry two.

"All right, then."
Walk away from the group in preparation to take off, passing Darla as I go so I can get a word in:
"It seems you had your reasons for what you did. I can't speak for the others, but seeing as how we're still alive and well, I'll hold no grudge."
Turn around once at the edge of the group and address the others of my party (basically Koa and Ettiin): "I'll return as quickly as I can. Try to stay alive, mm?"
> Take off with a Power Flow'd kick, heading back to Vranhal.

Kyros: "I'm no Raptor, but I could probably manage a decent speed. I don't know this Tara you mentioned, though."

Kyros: "All right, then."

He walks off, but not before passing by Darla to say a few short words. Once at the edge of the party, he addresses Koa and Ettiin, if you remember their names correctly.

Kyros: "I'll return as quickly as I can. Try to stay alive, mm?"

With a powerful kinetic jump, the chirop is into the air and soaring towards Vranhal.

"Come on, there's no time to lose everyone."

You lead the group towards Venari with haste, and talk with Darla.

"Alright Girly, I'm not gonna sugarcoat it, you did something bad. Real bad. I don't blame you, especially considering your circumstances, but this is still going to need fixing.
Tell me exactly what happened with Atra. Where in the city you broke it, what happened when it broke."

She doesn't look as distressed as before, but still rather guilty, sniffling occasionally.

Darla: "It's on the eastern side of the city, there's a lot of rubble where we fought. When I came here, I climbed over the wall, and the helm I had sensed Atra, and well, I found her walking in the street and I attacked her.
Her swordsmanship was beyond anything I've ever seen, but the helm I had, it had this thing where I could see things that's about to happen, I don't know, fortune telling or something. The helm let me see attacks coming, and the greaves made me fast enough to dodge them.
We fought for a long while, I gave it my all, and I could feel her weakening. There were lupus trying to help her, but they went down fast. I remember charging at Atra, she was holding her sword ready to guard, and I kicked the blade as hard as I could with the greave, and it the weapon broke into three pieces at the blade.
Atra's armor sort of evaporated and the human form staggered around, and I heard her scream, and I ran without looking back. It broke, no need to stay any longer."

By now, your party is at the gate of Venari, with lupus guards looking down from the wall.

???: "Hail, travellers!"

The guard speaking looks like he's taking some time to look at you.

???: "The gate is opening!"

And so, the steel portcullis slowly raises, allowing you entrance into the city.

"All right, then."

As you walk away from the group, you pass Darla, who gives you a guilty look.

Darla: "It seems you had your reasons for what you did. I can't speak for the others, but seeing as how we're still alive and well, I'll hold no grudge."

Now seperate from the group, you turn back to address Koa and Ettiin -

"I'll return as quickly as I can. Try to stay alive, mm?"

With a nod from Koa and a smirk from Ettiin, you throw yourself into the sky with a good kinetic jump and soar to the North, towards Vranhal.

The flight takes a bit of time, but it doesn't take long before you can make out the city, and then individual buildings in the city. A mental broadcast touches your mind -

Ping.

Ten seconds later -

Ping.

Another ten -

Ping who is this?
Wait, you're that chirop from earlier aren't you. What brings you back so soon?

You head over the door, taking care to step over or around the corpses, and take a look.

It's made of wood and looks quite beaten-up, and through the cracks you can see debris barring it on the other side. Getting through quickly could be loud, but getting through quietly will take some time.

You open your mouth to speak, but then realize that you're still up in the air, way too far for anyone to hear. Silly.

Apparently urgent business concerning things I know very little of. But more to the point, I have a message for Tara.

???: Alright. Is it something you need to tell her in person or are you fine with me relaying it to her?

The guard says a few words to another standing a few feet from him before shouting back down to you.

???: "If you are talking about the magic weapon, it is still on the east side of town! Sitting in a mess of rubble! It may still be mad so be careful!"

Oops, teletalk. Gotta use italics, my bad.

Relaying it will be fine. It'll save me time getting back, at least.
The message is from the, eh, fellow with the halberd, whose name I failed to ask.... But that aside, here it is: Atra has been broken, and preparations need to be made to repair it when our party recovers it and brings it back.

That's all.
