The sword is contained within a very short range heavy-EM field, trapping the majority of the plasma in a 3 foot long area, though some sparks occasionally flicker off of the "blade" and dissipate in the air. The group is illuminated by the bright sword acting as a flare, and Jet raises the sword a little higher, trying to cast the light around the room. The position of the puncture and Aicaya's shortness of breath lead me to believe that she has a punctured lung.
May I recommend temporarily leaving the blade in to prevent air from rushing into her chest cavity and collapsing her lungs?
