All of the Glass has a link, even if it isn't connected. Therefore, feeling a fellow hivemind snuffed out of existance before it can even take root is rather... rough.
The Glass takes the only real action it knows, and sets out to destroy the negative stimulus. By feeling the vibrations from the gunshots through the earth, it determines the general area of whatever killed the seed, and sends a crystallization shoot towards it. Tonight, there shall be blood.
