Chavlish is a branch from the main English language and quite simple to learn. Now, ahem, TorrentHKU wrote: u wot m8 u wanna go i'll hook u rite in the gob swear on me mum u tink ur ard m8? i got kik'd outta primary scool fa dekkin' da teecha come n get me if ya hard ya puff, i spent six years in the brummie lockup. And that should be the correct reply according to my knowledge of Chavlish. Though the English here is in a substantially better condition that further north where like becomes a word used in every sentence. I mean, like this you know like? And that concludes today's lesson on English accents from England. No excuse now, Nighthawk

i dun tink ya lil lessin's gun do me much good m8 A solid first try! You'll get the hang of it with continued practice. It's not a language on it's own right, it's a dialect of the English language and there are quite a lot of abbreviations to remember. Also, you can call people various things whether or not they are actually true, for example, oi! dan me bruv pinch me a gentleman? In that sentence, Oi is used to get someone's attention. Dan isn't actually a name, it's something you call a friend. Pinch is to borrow or to steal, so in that case Chav #1 is asking Chav #2 to either loan him a gentleman (a cigarette) or to steal one for him. Also, something to remember, a male is called a chav, a female a chavette. Probably best for us to move this to the Lounge or to PMs before we derail the thread further.

"Alright. Let's go. Chirop ma'am, Koa was it? You're a magic canceller? That's Light and Dark magic, right?"
The chirop you're addressing, Koa, is wearing a black and white patterned robe, and is missing her right arm/wing from the elbow down.
Koa: "Yes and yes. What about it?"

She doesn't respond, but you can feel an angry aura around her.

Koa: "Yes, and yes. What about it?"
You ignore the others for now and relax, before digging into your memories.
Ultima, hmm. The name is familiar, only because your allies have mentioned it before. But is there anything else?
Some war... War of Blades? Weapon families... Disaster, Chaos, Ultima... Only one weapon in the Ultima family, don't remember what its name was, usually just called Ultima...
That's all you can pull from your scattered memories. Maybe the humans and the dragon armor know more?

Approach and address the armor-dragon."I apologize for my silence before. I am Deiimor, Kyros. If I may ask, how shall I address you?"caekdaemon wrote: Probably best for us to move this to the Lounge or to PMs before we derail the thread further. I quite agree, though I originally pursued the subject because I miss the banter that used to go on between moves in RtD games. It might be in part that we're taking Infidi so seriously that we don't feel the need to banter, but I dunno - I have a lot of fun when chatting out of game context about the game.

Koa: "Uh, kind of? It's hard to pull off, but I can do it if I concentrate. The more mass I'm speeding up, the more difficult."

You approach and address the giant suit of dragon armor -
"I apologize for my silence before. I am Deiimor, Kyros. If I may ask, how shall I address you?"
???: "You may simply call me 'Vattii'.
Now, Deiimor, the orange blade you are carrying. Are you familiar with it?"

"Aside from being informed that its name is Talon and that it is an old, powerful blade, no. I might perhaps recall more about it, but my memory has been... compromised, recently."

"Can you convert it to runes by any chance?"
Koa: "Hmm. I technically can, but there would be issues on controlling it, like what is accelerated, how much energy to use, and so on. It's also going to be too complicated to cary around safely, one tiny smudge and you can melt yourself."

Vattii: "I see. The blade's name is Talon, yes. It is an anti-magic weapon, meant to counter other weapons that have magic abilities. Talon does not appear to be fully activated right now, but it is still powerful.
That you have this weapon is worrying. It means that it was removed from containment, and that means that other weapons may be in unknown hands. How did you obtain Talon?"

"A woman I did not recognize carried it. She was a highly aggressive and dangerous foe, and the sword was not the only powerful piece of equipment she bore. I was lucky to disarm her, even with help."

Re: Roll to Dodge - Infidium (Roll 259 - 2)
"Damn. And it's unfeasible to just teach it in the limited time we have. I'm confident in my ability to fight, but if Atra or Ultima decide to use dark magic to Slow me, then there's nothing I could do to counter it. I was looking for some way to level that field."
