Cihas: "Descriptions? Should I come down?"

"Got a bit of blood down here, but I'm not sure what caused it. I haven't been attacked yet, so come down if you want."

Walking around the room, it appears to be a food cellar. The dried splatters of blood eventually lead to a pile of barrels, and shedding light on the area with your torch, it looks like they're sitting on... Another trap door.

"Aight."

Forming a light arrow in your bow and then dropping it on the ground below, you carefully jump down, hotting the ground feet-first with a dull clank of metal boots hitting stone, and then move out of the way while Feiar and Maargral follow.

The cellar appears to be for food storage, with barrels and sacks here and there. There are dried blood stains on the ground, and Isaac is in one corner of the cellar with the torch, inspecting a metal trap door.

Stepping forward again, you swing the spear horizontally this time, empowering the attack with kinetics.

The wooden shaft of the spear makes a dull thud as it collides with Whirlwind, a stronger attack than your last, but you get a blunt Whirlwind impact to your side as a counter attack as well.

Just from watching Naomi, though, you think you're figuring out how to use polearms better.

Passive Abilities :
- Polearm Adept (+1 Polearm Actions)

Relying on kinetics makes you feel like you're taking the easy way out of building up your strength, though.

Sticking to the plan, you continue flying towards Vranhal with the others. Quickly passing over the plains below, you make it past a large river when a large city with its surrounding wall comes into view.

It's a human city, that much you can tell. The inner parts consist of stone structures, and as the city reaches further out, it turns into wooden buildings and residentiary sections, then farm lands, and then stretches of unoccupied grass, until it reaches the wall.

There are several fires here and there, and it looks like a large, grey dragon is gliding around a short distance above the city, as if surveying the land.

Koa: Do we try to go in quietly or announce our presence? I think I can see people down there, but I can't tell if they're reacting to the dragon.

While Cihas and the others drop down into the cellar, you move the barrels out of the way to get a better look at the trap door.

The first trap door one was wooden, and this one is made of metal, with a metal handle on it as well. It looks heavy, but you could probably lift it if you wanted.

"Hold on."

Both you and Feiar aim your weapons at the trapdoor, and then Isaac quickly lifts it open and backs up.

Nothing happens.

The pathway that the trapdoor revealed is pitch black and stinks of gore and excrement.
