:???: ikr.

anyways as for a lack of no players if either of the two of you can reach out to some people il start this thing early, likely at 4-5 players

wait that would severely mess up the story I got planned since the first roll important something happens, '>.>

ah well wouldnt want to spoil it anyways, I do hope we get more players soon but I suspect its because theres so many rtds already ;_;
I love them all dearly tho'

Personally, I've avoided this RtD because I am quite cautious. I worry that the grammar and general back story may prove insufficient for a truly epic RtD, which tend to be the only ones I join.

Currently, your story is
Quote:
our story starts with news, news that the six of the seven kingdoms are holding a summit meeting to discuss a new king the plot will unfold from here

But, if you lengthen the story and beef up the concept and make up some back ground materials, you get something like this.
Quote:
Our tale begins with the unfortunate news that the last great king, the ruler of The Six Kingdoms, The Great And All Mighty King, has died. News of his demise has rapidly spread throughout his realm, and now, the Six Lords have convened to elect a new king, as is the tradition that has been followed for aeons. This is a extremely important meeting - if a new king is not elected, then the realm would surely collapse into a series of squabbling nobles, all trying to etch out their own kingdoms from the corpse of a great empire.

However, The Great And All Mighty King's death could not have came at a worse time. The renegade Seventh Kingdom has been mobilizing its forces for a invasion, and the number of border skirmishes have been escalating both in number and severity. The inexperienced forces of the Six Kingdoms would not stand much of a chance against the battle hardened veterans from the Seventh Kingdom, who are fresh from their destruction of the Eighth Kingdom, who fell before them like wheat to a scythe at harvest time. Worse still, the great hordes to the north past the scorching plains are starting to head south, towards the Six Kingdoms!

There is little chance of success, yet, there is a faint glimmer of hope, that 6 great, yet currently undiscovered heroes, will be able to perform a miracle and save the Six Kingdoms from destruction at the hands of her enemies. For if they fail, then the Six Kingdoms shall surely fall, and with her, a civilization that has existed since the dawn of time.

What shall be your role? Will you help save the kingdom or condemn it to becoming a mere foot note on the ever marching forces of history? Will you protect it from its enemies, or betray the Six Kingdoms to them? Will you bring the Six Kingdoms into a golden age, or cast it into darkness?

It is your's to decide, in Roll To Dodge : Birthright.

Of course, this may be vastly different then what you want as a plot. Due to the lack of material to build from, I had to make some things up out of nowhere. I'm pretty good at that :). Notice that I've left most details about where the players are, and where the realm is located out. This means that at any time the story can have revisions to adjust for what it is that you require, which proves useful when trying to place down the neighbouring nations. Feel free to butcher that story above into something that you can use if you want, or to PM me if you want more help about story writing. In total, that decided to take around 20 to 25 minutes of time, but it is surely possible to churn out something of substantially better quality if you decide to spend more time on creating its story.

Okay, so basically, this is where is sound like a complete ♥♥♥hole.
I haven't joined because, honestly, I cannot understand you most of the time nicolasx.
You don't use capitalization or punctuation, and I cannot follow you most of the time.
Personally, I think that would make the RTD less fun for me, because I'd like to be able to actually read what I did.
Anyways, that's why I haven't joined.

:-(

EDIT: Basically everything caekdemon said.

This kept me from joining in the beginning to. But I just wanted to get the hang of playing a RTD and I think he wants to learn how to run one. So what the hell right.

Although Izen and Caek still have a massive point, you just have to start talking better English. I've gotten used to pretty terrible English when teaching young ones at school so I can often make out what you're trying to say, but I can imagine others having severe problems.

No matter how bad Nicolas' English could be (and it's not that bad) it doesn't hurt to join the RTD. How long does it take to formulate a character entry? Maybe five minutes. How long does it take to post an action? Even less.

EDIT: Nicolas, I reread some of your lore descriptions, and... birthstones only have six uses before they "die"? A main active ability that your character is centered around only has six uses?

Im sorry, I but to be honest, I chose to not tell you about the story... because I wanted it to be mysterious. But your right the old backstory could use some work, and I didn't do a good enough job of explaining what this is actually about, so here you go...

Abstracted from page one...

I'm still confused. Can the birthstones that we already have be used as many times as we like? Because making a key ability have only six charges for the whole RTD would be kind of stupid.

OK, sorry, I may not have made that clear, once you use a birthstone you keep the power without "charges".

I am in the process of putting together a non-narrative introduction to the game. With rules, maps, etc. When completed it will be added to the Page 1, Post 1.

Oh... that makes way more sense. Do we pick the powers or gain them over the course of the RTD?

Well theres different systems for different types but most times you will pick one and then you can upgrade it if you find another one that lets you choose your power

Attempt to imbue the birthstone with power.

I'm choosing the power to strengthen and augment my armor.
