With a boost of air, you run up the wall and land beside the robed man, who appears to be a blue mage.
"What happened here?! We were gone for just a few hours!"
???: "Some armored magic wielder broke through the west gate and went around the city, slaughtering anyone who got in its way or looked at it funny. When it was in the inner section of Vranhal, there was a loud scream or wail, unnaturally loud, sounded like a woman's, and the armored thing left after that. We're trying to deal with the damages right now, putting out fires and figuring out who's still alive.
You fought something up north, right? If you're in good condition, can you lend a hand?"

???: "I didn't get too close, that's why I'm still alive, but I saw it was wearing heavy plate armor, grey-like, as if it was covered with soot. Had a two-handed greatsword the same color of its armor, and was using that dangerous magic the chirop like to mess around with. You know, that black an' white stuff, the people that it didn't slice in half it just made them catch on fire or melt or somethin'. I didn't stick my face close enough to see what it was like in detail.
Left through the west gate, wasn't carrying anything that it didn't already have."

Let's hope Vattii heard that. Land down near Mist and LucidAucupe. "We've got a problem. Ultima was here. Mist and Torrent, put that water control to use and fight some fires. Aucupe, Ultima went out the West gate. See if you can sense it, if it comes back then shoot a flare in the air. None of us can take that thing on alone, don't try to. Do not chase after it. Ultima came into the city to get someone I think, I'm gonna go check that out."

You air-jump over the city and use Whirlwind to power a shout:
"A DRAGON WILL ARRIVE IN VRANHAL SOON, IT IS ALLIED! DO NOT ATTACK IT!"
After that, you land beside Mist and Aucupe.
"We've got a problem. Ultima was here. Mist and Torrent, put that water control to use and fight some fires. Aucupe, Ultima went out the West gate. See if you can sense it, if it comes back then shoot a flare in the air. None of us can take that thing on alone, don't try to. Do not chase after it. Ultima came into the city to get someone I think, I'm gonna go check that out."
Aucupe: "Okay!"
Aucupe dashes off towards the west gate, leaving you with Mist.

You head towards the inner city, following a trail of carnage and ruin. There are numerous people kneeling beside wounded or carrying them off, as well as others putting our fires with magic or throwing heaps of dirt to smother the flames.
Passing smoldering cottages and razed farmlands, it doesn't take long for you to reach the central part of the city, consisting of stone architecture. There's still a quite visible trail to follow, fewer flames, but plenty of rubble that winds around the land as if a giant snake just fell on top of Vranhal and left an imprint of its body.
After a bit of walking, the rubble stone road ends at what looks like a large mansion, except with quite a few holes. Dead soldiers and mages are scattered around and inside the building, and you take a moment to prepare yourself mentally before heading in.
There are fewer bodies inside the mansion, and as you check the place room-by-room without anything much of interest, you find yourself at the ajar wooden double doors of what probably is the master bedroom. Your hand reaches to push open the door, and you pause for a moment, staring at the window at the opposite end of the room, light shining through from the fires of the city from behind red blotches and streaks running down the glass.
The entire room is cast in a dark, flickering red light, and a knot forms in your stomach as your fingers brush against the battered wooden door.

Speeding ahead of the rest of your party, you see a large, tough-looking wooden gate.
You don't bother stopping, and run top-speed at the barrier, and instead of simply bouncing off, you crash through, creating a nicely sized hole and spraying a shower of wooden shrapnel into the building.
Your landing is much less smooth as you trip and tumble into the ground, but you feel like you're getting the hang of this door-busting stuff.
Passive Abilities : - Reckless Charge (+2 actions while running)
Anywho, taking a look around, the first floor looks rather barren, all the furniture being used to either barricade the door that you just smashed through, or blocking the already narrow windows.
There isn't anyone in sight, but there's a wooden staircase at the far end of the room that leads up, and a trap door below it that probably leads to a cellar.

You silently pulse to Naomi to activate the sonar vision before you slowly push open the double doors.
The room turns into a bright grass green, blotting out the finer details of everything. The bed is on the right side of the room, and your heart skips a beat as you see a face staring at you.
Mustering your courage to take a closer look, you walk towards the bed, where Elizabeth is lying, her eyes opened, unmoving. One arm is partially stretched out, hand reaching over the bed, while her other is resting over a bulky blanket covering her body from the chest down. The blanket ends where here waist should be, but you don't see any legs.
Looking around the room, you find it, the lower half of a human torso, smashed into the wardrobe across the room as if thrown there by super human strength.
The sonar vision completely blots out any sense of color and shade, and you wonder if it's best to keep it on until you leave.
